Description

First year 1980 Harley Davison FLT tour glide 5-speed rubber mount shovelhead, 40th off the assembly line according to the VIN.The vin number matches the frame, ngine and new California title. (Frame vin number is located on the front of the fork neck, isible only if the headlight is removed. Bike has been checked and certified by California Highway Patrol)

Originally a mild Arizona custom, t 9k miles its next owner for some reason completely disassembled the bike and packed it away in boxes. Professionally rescued and now with less than 100 miles since a complete frame up restoration, t is in like new condition. The bike runs sweet with its S&S heads, &S carb and rare factory original 2>2 exhaust. Note the engine is still breaking in from a new top end rings and valves, ome slight exhaust when starting cold or wet sumped from having been left sitting for several weeks. 5-speed transmission was rebuilt and is smooth as silk. Includes both repair and parts manuals. New wiring harness, ew gel battery, ew velvet black paint, ew clutch, ew tires, nd 2 saddles…a Corbin 2-up and le Pera solo. You definitely sit on this bike more than in it and float along in rubber mounted comfort. Frame is first generation of all of today's HD touring bikes.

Horn, urn signals, pot lights, igh and low beam, harging system, tc. are all in working order.Brakes work well, ront lines are braided stainless. Bike starts with a simple lift of the choke lever on the Super E carb and idles great No gas leaks, ypical negligible oil seeps despite all new gaskets and resurfaced mating surfaces. Not surprising. The hard bags work well and are in good shape with working locks, eys included. Love to keep it, ut I had my fun bringing it back to life and I need room for my next rescue. Low reserve, ar less than what I have into it. Look at the photos closely and check out the list below for a more details.

If you’re curious about the Egyptian hieroglyphics on the “cartouche” shape on the tank, op glyph is “shovel”, iddle glyph is “head”, ottom glyph is “power”. If you don’t like it, t’s vinyl and peels right off. Speedball emblems on the bags are stainless with a red dot for style.
