First off. I have only had one negative feedback. no neutral feedbacks and the rest positive since 2006. I received the negative feedback because a very breakable item I sent broke during delivery. I did offer a refund. I even had insurance on the item. but the buyer was inconsolable. With all that said. bid with confidence! For sale is my 1926 Harley JD. I am selling my JD because my wife and I are expecting another baby. otherwise this bike would be going nowhere! With that said. the bike is in extremely good shape. paint is very nice. the pin striping was done by hand and you can tell it was done by hand(not perfect but looks very good). The vast majority of the main components of this bike are original. the fuel/oil tank however is a Very solid and extremely well built reproduction. also. the seat is a messenger reproduction seat which is also a very nice and well build reproduction. I believe all other major components are original to the best of my knowledge and several others who have looked the bike over. For a video walk around check out my youtube video(video does not show all of the spare parts that are going with the Harley) : https://www. youtube. com/watch?v=jGvra7GB4qk The frame and front end are as straight as can be. the forks have been totally rebuilt as well as all the head components. The front wheel has been rebuilt and trued with a brand new Coker tire. the front hub has new bearings and its ready to go. The rear wheel has also been trued and has a matching new Coker tire. the rear hub could use a rebuilding(I have a set of new-in-package felts and bearings and new rear axle from Competition Distributing. I just haven't rebuilt the rear hub yet). The rear brake has brand new brake liners(pads) riveted in place. Every component on this bike is very solid and in usable condition. The motor that is in the bike currently is a 1926JD. it has a clear Illinois title in my name. The cam side case has a weld repair on the belly side wich covers up the belly numbers. the repair was professionally done by an antique motorcycle specialist(see very last photo). The rear cylinder is in extremely good shape with no visible cracks or repairs or breaks. the front cylinder has no visible cracks or repairs however it has a couple minor broken cooling fins. The transmission/clutch that is in the bike right now is complete and in great shape. the trans shifts into neutral and into gear without a problem. it could probably use new bearings before its used. I have a spare transmission and clutch that goes with the bike. nbsp;the spare is a 1926. The 1926 trans case is in good shape with now issues. there are no breaks or cracks and the threads look good as well as the gears. The spare motor cases I have are 1927JDL and are in fabulous shape with no repairs or breaks at all. there is a bit of rubbing from the chain where the sprocket mounts. but no more rubbing than normal for these motors. I do not have a title for the 27JDL cases. I only have the title for the 1926 motor. I have a very nice flywheel with rods and original pistons and a whole heap of internal motor parts that go with. I also have a bottom end rebuild kit from Competition Distributing that goes with. the kit is for 1925-1929 JD's. I do not have cam gears however. I have nearly everything needed to complete this motorcycle as well as lots of extra parts that go with it. Everything Harley JD that I have will go with this auction. thus. everything Harley JD in the photos goes with the bike. I have many brand new bits and pieces in baggies from Competition Distributing. an extra set of brake pads. I even have a rivet tool and extra rivets that will go with the bike. The electrical dash on the handlebars is in great shape and I have keys for it. New 6v wiring harness from Competition. I have an original fuel primer/cap(brass I believe) on the right fuel tank and an extra chrome cap if you don't want to run the cap/primer. There are are two VERY nice original petcocks on the fuel/oil tanks and an extra petcock that goes with. I not only have the rear axle that is currently on the JD and the brand new one. but I also have a couple others(one of them is for an earlier jd). as well as many extra rear hub components including two extra friction discs which are very rare to find. The axle currently on the bike is in good shape and functions perfectly but has different threads on either side. I know that the threads are not great on one of the older spare axles that goes with. but it could be repaired. I believe I have all of the linkage rods as well as several spares for the brake and clutch. I have all components for the spirals as well as one new control cable. The generator is not in the best of shapes. but the points are on it. The pieces that I know I don't have: motor cam gears. carburetor/manifold. coil. wire that goes around the bottom of the seat to help the seat hold shape. and maybe a couple very minor bits such as bolts or whatnot. However. nbsp;the value of all the extra parts that go with this bike would easily afford the pieces that are missing. In fact. I believe there is more value in the spare parts than it would cost to purchase what is still needed to complete this bike. I have a box full of transmission spare parts. bearings. etc. and a box of spare parts such as three extra brake hubs. an extra floorboard support rod. floorboard support bar and lots of new "in the package" spare parts from Competition. I will NOT ship this Harley. This motorcycle must be picked up in Lincoln. Illinois within 7 days of the auction ending. I require a non-refundable pay-pal deposit of $450 immediately after the end of auction. the remaining balance must be paid in CASH. I will not accept any other form of payment. I would be more than happy to answer any additional questions. just send my your phone number and I will gladly call you back. I have described this Harley JD. that I am here selling. to the best of my ability. I am not an expert and my opinion is subject to professional assessment. I am selling this motorcycle with no warranty. and no guarantees of any kind. All components and parts on the motorcycle should be checked and verified by a professional before attempting to use. On Feb-26-15 at 14:23:40 PST. seller added the following information:Along with the new motor bottom end kit from Competition. I also have a new motor gasket set. motor case bolts set. cam cover bolts set and motor mounting bolts set. On Feb-26-15 at 15:03:11 PST. seller added the following information:Some of the extra pieces that I have are not pictured in the photo's or video: such as the extra brake hubs and floor board components. spare petcock. spare original oil hand pump. an extra frame stand latch(mounts to rear fender like the one that is on the bike in the photos). some original fuel and oil lines and several other spare parts. some new in package and some older. On Feb-27-15 at 14:27:33 PST. seller added the following information:Several have asked about a buy-it-now price; I am going to let the auction run its course without a buy it now. If the JD does not sell. I will possibly repost with a buy it now. Also. If anyone would like to see the motorcycle in person before the end of the auction. feel free to send me a message with you phone number and I would be more than happy to call you and set up a time for viewing. On Feb-27-15 at 17:48:01 PST. seller added the following information:The complete transmission that is in the bike currently is stamped a 1927(27-3762). The extra transmission is stamp a 1926 (26-6307. the 26-6 are clearly visible. the last 3 numbers need crap cleaned off to read but I think they are 307). Thus. there is a set of 1926 motor and trans and 1927 motor and trans.
