1964 Honda CL72

We love classic sport bikes and only buy what we like. in fact we want to keep everything we buy! The Honda CL72 was a 250cc bike built between 1962 and 1965. The CL designation indicated this model to be the "Scrambler" version which implied some off-road capability prior to actual dirt-bikes gaining popularity. Honda introduced the 250cc CL72 to appeal to budding off-road riders. These bikes sold in huge numbers. and while heavy and unwieldy. in modified form were quite successful in desert racing events. Later models such as the CL77 had a bore increase to raise the capacity to 305cc. These were actually street bikes with a higher rear fender. a braced handlebar. and high-mount pipes. This is an excellent original example. and probably one of the best we have ever seen. It has traveled just over 13. 00 miles. These are sought after by collectors and are highly prized now in Japan.
