Very Original Honda 1976 CB-550K2

This Motorcycle sat in my friend’s barn for over 10 years and he never ran it. He received it from another friend and never started it. History before that is unknown but it obviously sat out side for some time. The original Candy Garnet Brown Paint has faded on the top of the tank to a light shade of Green.

THE GOOD:-

The original 4 into 4 pipes are in good shape with no obvious rust holes.

All electrics work including the starter and button.

New Battery.

Bike starts immediately but is running rough.

Tires are good but old, ith a new tube in rear.

Clutch is adjusted and grips well, lthough I have not ridden the bike.

Rear brake is good with plenty of liner left.

Front brake was frozen, ut now works correctly with plenty of pad left.

Tank is in very good shape except for the faded paint, ust a few very minor scratches – no dings, ery clean inside.

All lights and indicators work.

Wiring and components are in very good shape.

The seat is the original style but I don’t think original. It is in excellent shape except for some wear on the strap.

THE NOT SO GOOD:-

Some minor rust spots on the frame.

Chrome is in pretty good shape – some minor pitting.

Rear wheel spokes are rusty.

No Mirrors.

Carbs will need rebuilding and tuning. (I just cleaned them and it ran).

Indicator light arms are not straight.

Side pods were in rough shape, ut I repaired and reinforced them.

No tool kit.

I believe this bike with a tune-up would ride well as-is, r make an excellent candidate for a full restoration or a great start for a café racer project.
