Offered is a true survivor 1965 Honda S65. This is a rare model for Honda, nly made 1965-1969. It is all original except for the reupholstered seat and repop tank badges. The engine and frame numbers match and I even have the original Honda key and original black Calif license plate. I have a clean CA title in my name. This bike runs and looks great but is not without a few small issues. This is an amazing opportunity to own a very clean original 50 year old Honda. These just don't pop up very often anymore.
The bike runs great and starts easily but it does slip in and out of 2nd gear. From what I understand this is a common problem with these little bikes but I have not looked into it. I just basically ignore it. Once I hit 3rd it's like it never happened. There is a small crack in the plastic headlight bucket at the bottom. The original exhaust was rusted beyond saving but I did have another original Honda muffler laying around. It didn't fit the body just right so I cut the weld where the header pipe goes into the muffler and pulled the header out a bit. I mounted it up on the bike and got the fit perfect, hen rewelded it. It looks just as it should and afterall is factory Honda! I do not have the heat shield for it but they pop up here on ebay all the time.
The bike is located in Long Beach, alif and if available for inspection. Please give me a call with any other questions or to shedule an inspection. Jason 562-857-0401
