Honda Goldwing GL1000 1978

79000 miles. Registered in my name. In the last year, t has:
New fan switch
New neutral sensor switch
New AGM battery
New throttle cables
New brake lines front and rear
New float bowl seals and float needles
Oil and coolant changed
New headlight
New timing belts
Rebuilt rear brake master cylinder
It has the stock exhaust, ith no leaks and minimal corrosion. There's some surface rust on the frame, hree small holes in the seat cover, nd the body panels have a couple of minor nicks and scratches but it's a pretty good-looking bike from six feet.
The front brake master cylinder and lever are from a 1994 Ninja. If you're familiar with old Goldwings, ou know the brake lever effort is a little high. The new master cylinder works and feels like the brakes on a modern bike.
It does have chrome head covers from a GL1100. However the engine serial number does show that the engine is for a 1978 GL1000.
I also have a Vetter Windjammer touring kit for this bike. It's not currently installed on the bike. If you buy the bike you are welcome to take the fairing kit as well.
I've been over mostly all of this bike, articularly the electrical system, nd made sure everything is in good working order. It has no leaks, ll the lights work, nd it starts up easily. The only thing not working is the horns. It has aftermarket horns that work, ut they aren't wired up. I haven't gotten around to wiring them in because I'm thinking about getting some stock horns for it.
This is a nice, mooth, owerful bike, nd it is surprisingly easy to handle despite its size. You don't see these everywhere, nd this bike really turns heads.
