Classic Big Red 1986 Honda XR600R Street Legal Plated Dirt Bike. 1986 Honda XR600R Dirt Bike Rare To Find Street Legal Plated Current Registration & Clean Title. Bike Runs Strong and starts easy. shifts nicely through all the gears. good clutch. no strange noises from motor. bike has very good compression. the gold aluminum rims are straight and have no dents. bike has XR's only seat. new sealed 12v battery located in rear tool pouch. rear fender was reinforced on underside to hold the weight of the battery. recent dual sport tires have a lot of life left on them. Bike is in very nice shape for being a 29yr old dirt bike. Sits tall so not good for short rider. a real beast of a bike. All running lights work very well high/low beam. brake/running lights & horn. Up graded Lighting on this bike to Factory Honda XL 12volt electrical system. with dot approved instrumentation. Lights are much brighter then the 6v baja kit. which was previously on the bike for street conversion. Bike has keyed ignition switch with working key. Converted to 12v system using factory oem Honda XL parts including: stator/fly wheel/wire harness/regulator/rectifier/ignition switch/headlight/front cowl/gauges/instrumentation etc. rear tail light is aftermarket. The 12volt system gave this bike a lot better spark. so starting this beast is easier. lights are nice and bright for night riding. has a removable halogen headlight bulb up front. Things that could use some finishing:* blinkers occasionally go on but don't blink. will take some tinkering to get them going. * very slow leak in front tire tube I put a little air in it every few months. * speedometer not working will need new speedometer cable. * No neutral light in dash because this is a XR dirt bike the motor never came with a neutral switch relay circuit input. like the XL had. * brake light only works from rear brake pedal. stock XR front master cylinder is not wired for brake light switch. * bike could use is a new valve cover gasket as it weeps a bit of oil. from what I understand you have to remove motor to replace valve cover gasket. I have not touched the motor. except for installing the XL stator & fly wheel. bike runs great as it sits. all stock except for Supertrapp Pipe. As you can see in the pictures the bike is very nice for it's age. never raced and is in solid shape for being a 29yr old machine.
