1976 Honda CB550F Super Sport Excellent condition

My name is Jerod Walter and I maintain a collection of modern and vintage motorcycles for a private collector. There are two categories of motorcycles that are always on site. While most are located in a climate controlled showroom. there are also the bikes that are awaiting maintenance or in need of restoration that are located in the on site motorcycle shop. Every so often we need to make room and thin the herd for new bikes coming in. The following bike comes straight from the showroom and is in perfect running condition. Up for auction is this exceptional example of a 1976 Honda CB550F. The bike has been repainted by the previous owner in the original shiny orange color. There are no dents or scratches in any of the body work. fenders. or side covers. The original muffler is in great shape with no holes or dings. Everything seems to be original on this bike except the tires which are still have around 90% tread left. The left handlebar switch was replaced due to the original having a broken mirror perch and new OEM Honda mirrors were added. The chrome throughout is not perfect but is still in very nice original shape. The header pipes are blued near the engine. See the photos for a closer look. The seat is in perfect condition with no tears or rips. The inside of the gas tank looks like it did when the bike was new. This motorcycle has never been restored other than having the paint job and is in beautiful shape overall for a 40 year old bike. Everything works as it should including the headlight and taillight. turn signals. horn. all indicator lights. and even the directional indicator beeper. I do not believe the mileage to be correct as it seems that the speedometer was replaced at some time during its life. The previous owner did not know for sure. It was in need of a little TLC when we purchased the bike last July. The front brake pads are brand new. we replaced the clutch plates and changed the oil and filter in September of last year. A new O-ring chain was installed as well. Since then. it has only been driven sparingly to make sure everything is in working order. It has been in a climate controlled environment connected to a battery tender as long as the current owner has been in possession of this classic Honda. This motorcycle will include a clear Texas title and bill of sale. It is located in Wimberley. TX about 40 miles south of Austin. We will require a deposit of $500 through PayPal within 24 hours of the auction's end. The remaining balance will need to be received through a wire transfer. cash in person. or certified check that will need to be cleared through the bank before the motorcycle is released to the buyer. There is no warranty on this motorcycle and it is being sold as is. Shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. however. I can help to recommend a shipper and will work with them however I can to see that the bike makes it safely to its new home.
