This style of Rebel 250 was introduced in 1985 and was produced from 1985 through 1987. Honda also produced the Rebel 450 during years 1986 and 1987. Controversy with Harley Davidson was one of the reasons for discontinuing both models after 1987. Honda resumed production of the Rebel 250 in 1996 and continues to produce them to this day. However. many believe that the earlier 80’s models are the most desirable because of their distinctive look and history.
