This is a very good start to building a classic piece of history as well as having a fully functioning flat track racer. The bike was originally being built in 2003 by Al Ludwigsen a vintage racer in California. He moved out of the country and it never was completed. After sitting for more than ten years. I decided to get it up and rolling for someone else to complete. The bike features the following: 741 frame; 741 cases and primary; sport scout 45 inch flywheels and rods polished and lightened; sport scout 45 inch cylinders . 020 over with oversized stainless valves. and huge intakes; carburetor has chief bonne venturi; heads have been modified to mimic Harley; 648 exhaust; 21 inch front wheel with Borrani rim and alloy hub; 18 inch rear wheel with modified hub for modern sprockets and drilled for screwing in tires; narrowed front end that has been de-raked; handlebars are tack welded so that they can be positioned for rider also top tree has been machined for 1 inch risers; Bates seat; Indian vertical gas tank; and custom oil tank. The bike is set up as a total loss ignition system. This bike would be up and running if not for the following issues: stripped head bolt hole with crack (not to bore). has standard pistons but should be bonne (changed heads along the way); needs throttle and battery. The engine has no serial numbers. several of the primary cover bolt holes are stripped in the engine and trans. The paint job is ten years old and not perfect. There is a dent at the gas cap bung from falling of a shelf. This bike is not for the street. There had been high hopes for this project. but finances have changed and it is time for someone else to realize it's potential. .
