1979 Kawasaki KE100 Motorcycle Enduro

Up for bid is this 1979 Kawasaki KE100 motorcycle. The bike is a blast to ride and the ability to go on or off road makes it even that much more fun!! It has held up well for a bike that is over 36 years old. It is in GREAT condition with just a few minor flaws. I am not an expert on motorcycles but I will be happy to answer any questions you might have. I took lots of pictures so hopefully your questions are answered by them. The bike has 1503 miles on it and runs very well. One or two kicks and it fires right up. The tank is in good condition with just a few nicks in the paint here and there. The seat is nice with no rips or holes. The lights and blinkers all work with no cracked lenses or bulbs. The odometer and speedometer work also. The speedometer does have a small issue though. It is working but somehow (vibration??) the needle broke and is laying on the inside. This can be fixed easily but I just never messed with it. I can see it turning there just isn't a needle to show it. The title also says that there is an "odometer discrepancy" but it was only because the needle was broke. I didn't understand why they had to do this because the odometer (which keeps track of the miles) works fine and this is the original gauge. Leave it to the government!! Anyhow. the chrome is very bright and shiny with a great look. No rust. The tires have good tread with a lot of life left in them. The fenders and side cover are free of any cracks or damage. The oil injector works well with no issues. As I mentioned there are a few minor issues. After all the bike has a few years on it. The clutch lever has the ball broken off the tip. Minor repair and the replacement cost is less than $10. 00. As you may have noticed from the pictures the fenders look to be a darker green color. These have not been repainted. they have faded from sunlight. The Kawasaki lime green color didn't hold up well to the suns UV rays back in the 70's. I looked at other KE100 for sale that have the green color and the fenders look just the same. For some reason they turned a darker green. The exhaust is nice and solid with no holes. The blinkers work but do not "blink". It needs a new flasher which is also available on-line for under $10. 00. The title is signed off and ready to be transferred into the winning bidders name. I have one original Kawasaki key and the the original tool kit also. There is no guaranty or warranty written or implied as the bike is vintage. A $200. 00 dollar NON-REFUNDABLE deposit will be due to my paypal account within 24 hours of the auction ending. I will not ship the bike. It is for pick-up only. In the event the winning bidder would like it shipped the arrangements will be handled completely by the new owner. All I will agree to is opening the door when they get here. This is a FANTASTIC bike and considering the condition. very hard to find one like it!!!!
