The KZ1300 is a liquid cooled inline six cylinder double overhead cam engine that is transversely mounted. It has three two barrel carburetors. The six cylinder engine is glassy smooth. It produces gobs of smooth low-end torque as well as 125 peak horsepower. The engine is so smooth and has so much torque it will allow the rider to slow down for a corner to 15mph (for example) and then pull out in top gear without ever downshifting. It is shaft drive and has front and rear factory air-over-springs suspension to adjust for heavy touring loads. Seating position is quite comfortable and upright. Handling is quite light and nimble for a bike this large and it does not scrape in corners. I have owned this bike since 1989. It has been stored inside. I have ridden the bike only occasionally over the years so it is very low mileage for it's age. The paint is all original and the seat has a new cover. The bike currently starts, uns, nd drives like it should and has a top of the line Odyssey AGM battery. The charging system works like it should. The transmission shifts smoothly through all five gears with no noise or slipping. The clutch is smooth and does not slip. The mufflers are not rusted out and there are no oil or coolant leaks I know of. The tires are fairly new with lots of tread left. There are a few minor things that need repair: The speedometer indicator needle has a short piece broken off. The tachometer cable needs replacing and the rear disc brake pads probably need replacing. There are lots of parts available on Ebay for these bikes. This bike is very rare and few people have ever seen one. It is fun to ride, he 6-cylinder engine is super smooth, nd sounds like an Italian V-12 sports car engine. Very unique. I am selling this motorcycle as is. Shipping is the responsibility of the buyer but that can be done quite easily through U-ship and similar online shippers.
