After riding motorcycles over 50 years I have hung up my helmets. You name it and I have ridden it. Started out as a little kid with mini bikes, ent on to enduros, rail, otocross, rag race, oad race, nd yes the most dangerous riding on the street. Some recent motorcycles sales on Ebay were a Kawasaki ZX6R (yep that one was fast), onda MB5 (that one was super cool), uzuki RM250 (two stroke), onda CRF230. Some of the gear I sold on Ebay were my Sidi Crossfire SRS motocross boots, elmets, nd so on. Check out my 100% positive feedback rating and I plan on keeping it at 100%. I still have plenty of bikes and gear to liquidate. So much for me.
Here we have a 1974 Kawasaki H2. I had a number of these bikes back in the 70s. Wish I still had the 1975 purple H2 I purchased new off the dealer showroom floor in 1975 for $1400. Those were the days! Went to to drag race that monster for a while and won some money, nbsp;Somewhat of a monster keeping that thing under control in the 1/4 mile. Anyway I purchased this 1974 H2 off Ebay a few years back. Yep some of you guys on the triple boards already know this bike. Gordon from South Carolina had a hand in building this bike. The bike was rebuilt by the previous owner and all I did to it was keep it inside. As strange as it sound I did not ride the bike as I just wanted a H2 for old times sake. Yes every few months I would take the spark plugs out and turn the motor over. I even put it on a trailer a few times and took it to bike shows. The former owner put a few miles on it after the finished the rebuild but that was it. Twice I put some ethanol free gas in the H2 and started it but that was it. Please note the motor is 1973. Just about everything that could be done to the bike has been done. Tapered bearings, ronze swing arm bushings, amon Kirkland crank (of course before he retired). Yes I have the receipt from the previous owner. I have tons of extras that come with the bike. You get two complete matched cases, rame, riginal 1974 dealer brochure, riginal 1974 dealer accessories brochure, wners manual, hree dealer only 1974 two sided posters. I will keep updating this auction as we move forward with more items as I keep pulling things out of boxes and adding them to this awesome auction.
The bike is pick up only. Yes you can pick up the bike or use someone like uShip. The Honda MB5 that I just sold went to New York City and the buyer used UShip. That shipper had an enclosed Mercedes cargo van and really had a super set up for transporting bikes. Don't forget in addition to wining the H2 you get the two cases, osters, ome NOS parts, ew NGK spark plugs. So there will be extra boxes to ship. The bike is fully registered with tag and insurance in Alabama. Please note that Alabama prior to 1975 is a non title state so no title. You will receive a bill of sale and current Alabama tag registration paperwork that yes is in my name. I answer any and all questions. I have tons of pictures and will be more than happy to email you anything you want. I even have pictures of the bike during the rebuild the former owner took. Thanks for looking.
1/19/16- Thanks for all your questions and looking at this auction. Sorry but I forgot to post pictures of the expansion chambers. I just posted two new pictures that show the chambers. Yes the bike cranks and runs. I would suggest you maybe take the carb float bowls off and check them even though the bike has not been stored with gas. If you win the auction then I will be more than happy to crank the bike when you show up to pick it up. As long as I have the money you can drive it all you want. Yes the bike is in super condition but I want to point out a few items. First thing is bikes always look better in pictures than in real life. Yes the bike look great in the pictures and also looks great in person but understand it is real old. The side cover on the left side has a scratch as seen in the picture. The person I got the bike from did a lot of power coating. He had the disk brake reservoir and caliper power coated. There was some seepage around the brake reservoir cap and the power coating has pealed. The line to the caliper also had some seepage and there is power coating pealing. You can see that in one of the pictures. This a super far away from stock bike. If you are looking for an RB perfect off the showroom floor 10 point exact bike then you need to move on. As you can see the wheels are not stock, he handle bars are not stock, he foot pegs are not correct for the 1974 H2B model. It is still one cool bike and a head turner but a lot of parts/upgrades are not correct for the H2B. When I cranked the bike it normally starts on the second or third kick. The former owner only put a few miles on the bike and I have zero miles on the bike so I would say the carbs will need to be fine tuned...main jet, ilot jet, tc. The extra items that come with the bike are items I purchased from Ebay, arber vintage bike weekend, tc. Original magazines from 1974 that featured road tests on the H2B, riginal 1974 dealer brochure that features every 1974 Kawasaki model, nbsp; 1974 dealer accessory brochure, 974 H2B ads. Hey this bike even has the chain oil oiler. I do not have a picture to post but I have a set of original crash bars for this bike. Are you crazy and think I would actually install them,,,heck no! But I saw the crash bars one day and picked them put as I wanted anything I could get my hands on that was any way associated with the H2B. I will update this auction later but thanks again for looking and let me know if you have any questions. I answer any and all questions. Thanks
Oh with a bike this old it does not come with any warranty either expressed or implied.
One more item is the battery does not hold a charge. Of course the bike does not need a fully charged battery to crank or run but wanted to let you know a new battery is in your future if/when you win this auction. This is a no reserve auction and will go to the high bidder.
