1978 Kawasaki LTD-1000 / Street-Custom (dragbike)

This Kawasaki 1978 LTD-1000 was purchased in 1983 with only 9. 00 miles on it ! It has just had the top end gaskets all replaced . and this bike now has only 21. 71 miles on it total since it was purchased ! The paint was re-done with custom paint and is still in GOOD Condition! The seat has also been recovered with a black velvet cover . The motor was bored to 1075cc with MTC pistons having 10. 5 compression. the head has heavy duty valve springs along with a three angle valve job. There is a set of 407 Norris cams. with a heavy duty cam chain and heavy duty cylinder studs. The trans was also Back-cut for smoother shifting ! Their is a Kz-900 welded crankshaft. which makes this motor rev higher and faster. The carburetors are a set of Mikuni 29mm Smoothbores ! There is a Hi-performance 4 into 1 Exhaust header that was made by C&M performance / Bob Carpenter! The Ignition system is a set of Dyna Coils. Taylor wires. and a Dyna -3 pick-up plate! As an added help. there is a electronic Rodon Quick Shift . this lets everyone shift gears without needing to use the clutch! To keep this bike from popping wheelies every time you shift. the stock swing arm was extended 4. 5 inches ! there are a set of Bridgestone Excedra G-703 tires front and rear the rear being a 150/80x16! There is a RK-GOLD series 630 chainon this bike. The Engine and carb have been completey chromed out. along with chrome tach & speedo covers and case guards. Check out this short video!!
