Title in hand. 2002 KTM 640 LC4-E Six Days Edition with 11. 00 miles. I had Cliff's Cycles change out my stock carb to an FCR 39. New chain and sprockets about 1k miles ago. bike is geared for woods riding but is too big for me so I'm selling it for a 2 stroke dirt bike. Bike was worked on and maintained over the last 5 years by Cliff's Cycles and just had a major service. It had the main shaft seal/bearing replaced which is a common problem on the pre'2003 bikes. They went through everything due to a problem with the valves. they took the head off and sent it out to be remachined. put all new valves in. buttoned it all back up and it is ready to ride. I have ridden less than one mile since picking it up at the shop and it won't get ridden anymore until the new owner rides it. They replaced the steering bearing. wheel bearings. put new cables on the bike. recent brake pads front and rear. adjusted carb. new fork seals. shift lever. brake lever etc. They went through everything. bike is completely ready to ride and take you anywhere. I had Cliff's change out my odometer for a Vapor Trail Tech at about 8500 miles or so. Also I had suspension rebuilt and revalved for my weight of 175 by Factory Connection Suspension in NH last year. The bike has normal cosmetic problems for a 14 year old bike. The plastics are scratched. the aftermarket 5 gallon tank is scratched. but I do have the original tank and plastics that are in good shape. It is not a show bike but if you are familiar with the LC4's then you know what this bike is meant for. I took it to Moab and did the Transamerica Trail with it. other than that. it sat a lot and didn't get much use. I bought it from a good friend of mine who I still ride with and I would be very comfortable selling it to another good friend. This bike should last a very long time. I also have extras that come with the bike. like the KTM tall seat. spare oil and air filters. almost new rear tire. extra cables and miscellaneous "stuff". Also have the service manual in addition to all owners manuals. See pictures for more details. and email any questions. I could talk for hours about this bike. so please email me your phone number and we can talk details. A few other details I can think of. I installed the Vapor Trail Tech Computer (actually Cliff's Cycles did everything except that fancy mounting job you see. I did that). I also installed a cigarette lighter for a phone charger. ugly but it works-and easy to remove if you don't want it. Doubletake mirror on the left side. I still have both stock mirror. the left one stripped out but I believe the right one screws in fine. but I can't say for sure. I've had the RAM ball on the right for a long time now. and used another double take on that. ***Odometer: The main reason I installed the trail tech vapor was because my odometer cable broke. This happened along the TAT. I marked it in my GPS when I noticed it was no longer working. I had about 1. 00 miles of riding left at this point. Unfortunately. since then. I really haven't put many miles on the bike. It has between 11k-12k miles on it. and 12k is absolutely a stretch. I guarantee it does not have 12k miles on it. Notice in the pics. the damage to the case cover from going down on the left side. and bending my shift lever (hence the new one). The case cover is actually slightly dented although hard to see in the pics. I told Cliff's to replace it if they thought it needed it. but they didn't. he said it's just cosmetic and there are no leaks or ill effects from it. The foot peg is bent upwards a bit. I don't really notice it when riding so I never bothered replacing it. but I'm told the rear passenger pegs will work in it's place. which I also have. I drilled two holes on each side of the front fender because my Wolfman Fender Bag would never stay put. so I zip tied the straps so they couldn't come off. So that is why there are two small holes in the fender. The headlight has a crack in it but still works. There is something funky with a connection somewhere in the ignition switch. If I turn the key on sometimes the lights don't come on. but a "jiggle" of the key in the ignition and it always comes back on. This is the front and rear lights. not just the front. I'm sure there is a loose or bad connection somewhere. Note that on the manuals. it shows 2001 as the year. On the registration and title it's an '02. A couple other things. The battery on the Trail Tech Vapor is dead. and needs to be replaced. so it only turns on when the bikes ignition is on. Choke lever-The choke lever was disconnected when Cliff's Cycles installed the FCR. because the FCR has the choke knob or whatever it's called right on the side of the carb. It can be a bit of a pain to reach until your used to it. but I never use the choke unless it's freezing out. A couple twists of the throttle. then thumb the starter. and it starts right up.
