Named after the iconic road in the Italian Alps. the Stelvio definitely suits the personality of this bike. It is both an outstanding all day tourer as well as a fabulous Hooligan ride and if you want to take the road that few travel. it handles hard pack and well-traveled off road with ease. I purchased this bike at the end of 2010. The previous owner had purchased the bike and ridden it from north Ga to Alaska and back. (Pretty good indicator of what the bike is capable of). The bike is equipped with Guzzi Bags. Guzzi Sport Mirrors (eliminate vibration at speed). Euro Turn signals (more aerodynamic and a better look). Engine Guards (yes they work). Stucchi bash plate (replaced the plastic one that came with the bike). Euro driving lights. Narrowed NTX rear wheel (was not an option at the time) and finally I added an auxiliary 2. 4 GAL Stucchi fuel tank with switch mounted on the handlebar (increases total fuel range to close to 9 gallons for those 250+ distances between stops). Just an FYI. the tank option alone was just over $1. 50 and is a beautiful piece of work. Well Worth IT. in my book. The bike has been serviced regularly and other than being a bit cold natured for the first 15 seconds or so of cold startup. the bike performs fantastically!! So why (you are asking) if the bike is so great. are you selling it. The answer is that my distance travel days are few and far between and I plan on getting something a bit lighter and more city warrior oriented.
