Description

I lusted after one of these when first released, fter having owned half a dozen Guzzi's and a million BMWs, ncluding several GS1200s. 105 HP like the big GS. But she is not getting ridden. Only 13K miles, itting in the garage on the Battery Tender. Just put brand new Michelin Pilot Road 4s ($500) on both ends, new battery ($130), nd she had the full 12K service (have receipt) at Portland's awesome Moto Guzzi Portland dealership this spring (have receipt). All recalls performed - including fork pinch bolts and center stand replacement. Needs NOTHING to ride cross country NOW. Gas and go. Check my history and bid with absolutely confidence. I'll aid in any shipping logistics, r pick you up at the airport (PDX) and you can stay at my place the night and leave in the morning after a good breakfast. :)
BRILLIANT ITALIAN ADVENTURE TOURER! I bought this from a fellow enthusiast in Boise last summer, lew out from Portland and rode her home the next day, 00 miles in 95-110 degree heat, 0 hours, o issues. She is a joy to ride, specially with the fresh Michelins Pilot Trail 4s and 12,000 mile service from Portland Moto Guzzi (Portland, R). NEVER dropped. I've only put about 1,000 miles on her. Hate to see her sit in the garage, just have not taken any trips like I envisioned due to a very busy job (60 work weeks); and now, s of 8/26, m unemployed. Ah, ontract jobs. (I'm an ace technical PM if anyone is looking!)...
ALL the choice options:
• Guzzi aluminum hard cases - imitations of BMW R1200GS Adventure bags; removable and the best. And black. 3M reflective patch on the back sides for safety. I have aftermarket straps that fit through the slots on the bag tops, ith comfortable handles, o you can take the up to your hotel room after a hard day's ride.
• Guzzi / Givi V46 top case - the only issue is I cannot remove it! Pushing the red button doesn't work. Maybe some WD40 will work? Easily swallows two full face helmets (including my Arai XXL), nlike the side bags which do not fit any due to their shape. Has the comfortable passenger backrest - so reassuring for your pillion passenger!
•Euro factory turn signals on the front, nd Aprilia mirrors; cleaner, ore functional, ork great, ook great. The stock Stelvio had turn signals build into the mirrors.
•Factory heated grips.
•Factory full crash bars, trong and safe, nd look the part.
•Factory hand guards.
• Plus, talian stainless GTR slip on pipe that I bought new; much lighter and throatier than the huge stock pipe, ith removable baffle, erfect tri-oval shape and PERFECT sound. I HATE loud bikes, ncluding the one I owned on a stunningly beautiful Griso which had an open Agostini pipe on her. This pipe is as close to perfect as you can find - great stainless craftsmanship and looks (reminds me of several Staintune pipes I've owned), reat sound. Yes I have the stock pipe as well, hich goes with the purchase.
• Aforementioned new Michelin Pilot Road 4s, ual compound, ess than 500 miles, mazing grip, 80 rear, ear $500 new for the pair, nstalled (have receipt).
Bike is up to date on ALL recalls. This bike is mint, mmaculate, nd needs nothing. Always garaged. Never dropped. I'm 57 and have owned over 80 bikes and ridden 100s of thousands of miles in my long life. This bike is cherry. Title is in my name; it is "lemon law" from California a very light "brand", as issued because the dealer had to buy it back due to the fork pinch bolts from a factory recall taking too bloody long to get from Guzzi! CA has a law where after a certain amount of time (6 months I believe) it has to be converted to lemon law. Crazy DMV rules! The bike is as mint as can be inside and out. Feel free to contact Portland Moto Guzzi (Rick the owner, r TJ the lead mechanic) at 503-777-0953 to verify the condition of my bike, s they did the 12K service and most recently, he center stand recall (bike has new center stand and brackets). They are great folks. Other notes:
  • Check for the full ride/reviews on this 2009 Moto Guzzi Stelvio on Topspeed and Rider Magazine (eBay won't let me include the links).
  • You can go 175+ miles on a tank without pushing overly hard - I've gotten 40-50 MPG.
  • These bikes are very easy to work on - from oil changes to valve adjustments.
  • Buy this for a GREAT fly and ride (closest airport is PDX; I can pick you up and even put you up the first night in a spare room). Awesome time to see the great Pacific Northwest or ride down Route 101 and 1 to San Francisco or So Cal --- or beyond!

Compares to or exceeds expectations compared with R1200GS, prilia Caponord, ucati Multistrada, uzuki V-Strom, uell Ulysses, riumph Tiger, nd others. Check my eBay history, HANKS FOR LOOKING, nd RIDE SAFE! :)
