This bike was inspired by the desert sled era of 70's dual purpose motorcycles. We wanted to remind our customers where the street bike originated. What better way than to replicate one of the most fun times in riding history, he On Any Sunday, ut with friends and family go anywhere dirt bike. This build feels less serious than some of the others we have donein the past; it was fun to build and it is fun to ride. We picked the Moto Guzzi V7 classic for a few reasons. First of which is that is rarely used as a custom platform. We build a lot of new Bonneville's because there is a ton of custom parts available for them and we are comfortable with what we are capable of. The V7 was new ground for us and it really let us think outside the box. It also gave us some big challenges and we love challenges.Starting with the tires, e installedTKC 80's to give it that true off road look and capability, hen the front fender was sourced from Mas Engineering. We fabricated mounting brackets and relocated it to the bottomof the lower triple to give it that unmistakable 1970's dirt feel. The head light was taken from a Triumph Scrambler. The front number platewas hand made by Johnny, ur in-house fabricator. TheRenthal bar offers a wider and higher hand position which helps a lot to get the bike toeasily change directions off road; it isalsomuch more comfortable when standing on the specially modified Rizoma Bear Claw footpegs.Of course we had to put on proper gray Domino grips to match the stock Domino hardware that comes on the V7. The ceramic coated exhaust has modified British Customs Predator mufflers at the back. The sound out of this little 750 is amazing. It's hard to explain without actually hearing it. It's not that it's loud, he note is spine tingling. Guzzi's have a great sound anyway but this oneis poisedtoget evenHunterS. Thompson’s attention whileout wandering in the desert on mescaline. The side covers are handmade. The ECU and some wiring had to be relocated and a shorter battery was installed to help while fitting the Alex West custom built seat. Now that the frame was modified and the seat shortenedit no longer had a placemount. We used hood pins and cabled the cotter pins tothe seat so it is self-contained. It's one of the small details that really sets the bike off and makes itfeel old school. The rear fender is also from Mas Engineering and was modified with custom brackets to be mounted high to match the front. Some frame modification was neededto place it where wewanted it. The tail light is a BritishCustoms that was modified to mount high on the fender. TheTKC80on the rear almost didn't happen because fitment issues with the Guzzi's shaft drive. The clearances were very tight and some heavy coaxing was required. Finally, he paint and hand lettering was done by Joe Broxterman from Speedway Graphics. Joe’s paint is really is the crown jewel on this bike. Keep an eye out; you just may see this little guy eating dirt off the beaten path or parked at ashow with a blue ribbon around its neck. The bike has recently been featured in the Hand Built Show in Austin, XCheck out a full 360 view here=https://youtu.be/43iFw4rgRvM
