1974 Norton Commando 850

Relisting; last top bidder was a scammer and second bidder wanted a left-hand shifter. 1974 Norton Commando; I am at least the third owner with no knowledge of part of the bike's history. All numbers match; it is titled as a 1975 but that's wrong based on the numbers. Interstate tank added at some point; don't know when or why. Prior owner modified the 850 barrels to accept 750 heads (no. I don't know why). I had a professional valve job done (one valve and guide set replaced. no milling required). added a spacer under barrels for appropriate piston clearance (was marginal and probably not enough). had it professionally rewired with new electrics to bring it to stock polarity. Prior owner had rewired it and run wires through parts of frame. so you can see drill holes where they did so. Had front directionals restored to stock. Runs very well. I have a universal rubber air filter for the carbs. Converted to dry primary with ventilated cover as shown. I am located in MN in the Twin Cities area. about a half-hour drive West of the airport.
