This is a 1971 Honda CB750 period chopper/cafe custom. I am the second owner. this bike has been in dry storage since the original owner passed away in 1985. The top end has been completely gone through. New rings installed. valves replaced or relapped as needed. valve guides were checked and new valve guide oil seals installed. Engine starts easily and runs strong. The clutch is smooth. shifts great through all gears. Carbs were cleaned. No oil leaks and no smoking. New rear shocks have been installed. Front master cylinder and caliper were rebuilt. Brake pads front and rear were inspected as were tires. etc. I am a NYS inspector and can tell you this bike will pass inspection easily. All controls. lights. etc are in great working order. Has a nice chrome 4 into 1 exhaust. The previous owner had filled in the emblem holes back in the 70s and some bubbling can be seen in pics on the right hand side. No rust inside the tank. no leaks. and the petcock was rebuilt with new gaskets. Obviously repainted black. Wheels are Lester Mags. period correct aftermarket. and will look really cool polished. Tank and side covers are original to the bike. fenders are not. All chrome is in great shape. The gauges have good color; the green neutral indicator plastic fell out and is laying at the bottom of the gauge (easy fix); the neutral light still works. just doesn't look green! Includes original tool kit and Clymer manual. This bike can be used as an excellent daily driver that will turn heads as you go by. If I were to keep it. I would put a cafe seat and norton manx style aluminum tank on it and make it cafe. Being an early 1971 it is also a great candidate for restoring back to factory original as the mechanical work has already been done. I am only selling it because I want to put an exhaust on my Honda Sandcast and they are pricey! I planned on keeping this bike and paid extra attention to the rebuild. I hate to sell it but am running out of storage! If you're close. come take the bike for a ride. you won't be disappointed.
