1974 Maico 440 GP 4-speed, 1975 Frame

Maico 440 cc in 1975 Frame. Forks. wheels. engine. etc. of 74 1/5 GP have been transferred over to this 75 frame. It is AHRMA legal. 7" fork travel. 4" rear wheel travel. and 4-speed gear box. This is a proven race bike. not a show model. It has had a very successful race carrier in AHRMA vintage motocross wining many races and championships. Engine built by Eric Cook. Maico Only. Has fresh top end. new piston and ring. New primary chain. Clutch in Excellent shape. Shifts great. The 75 frame rear section and shock mounts are basically the same dimensions as the 74 1/2 GP frame but uses a wider swing arm to accommodate the 5-speed motor in the 75's. The steering head is 1 degree steeper for the longer travel 75 forks so this frame really turn well with the 7" travel 36mm forks. I have always preferred the plastic 75 tank and seat combination. It is very easy to slide up on the tank with out damaging the family jewels. Listed below are all the modifications and extras. Going to the AHRMA race at Chrome this weekend. April 11 & 12.
