1969 Laverda Amercian Eagle 750 Barn Find Original

Here is a rare find. This is a one owner 1969 Laverda 750 American Eagle. It was purchased new in 1969 and only ridden until until 1976. It was then put into storage and has not been fired up since. It has 13. 66 showing on the odometer. It is clearly a restoration project for the discerning collector. We have made no attempt to wash. clean or even start it. At one point. the carburetors were cleaned. but that is as far as is got. We did connect a battery to it and determined that all the lights work and that the motor does turn over with the starter. It still has the original paint and the bodywork is in good shape with no dents. As you can see from the pictures. a lot of the chrome. including the exhaust has corrosion from being stored in a non-ideal location for nearly 40 years. The foam in the seat has deteriorated. Fuel tank has some rust in it. but is not rotted or leaking. This is a rare bike and deserves a first class restoration. We checked with the Oregon Department of Motor Vehicles. and the bike is still titled in the original owner's name. He lost the title long ago but was kind enough to give us a bill of sale along with signed application for replacement title from the Oregon DMV if you wish to pursue a title in this state.
