Montesa Cota 123 1973

Montesa Cota 123 I bought 20 years ago in pieces. It was missing wheels. suspension. some internal motor parts. fenders. and more. I gradually found the parts needed to restore this to a running bike. The parts I bought on eBay and the different Montesa suppliers. There is surface rust on the wheels. and some of the other small parts. but they were like that when I bought them. and everything works fine. It seems to be a low compression bike. nbsp;but it starts right up. and has enough power to pull my 180lb body around and over obstacles. I tried to get a seat or cover for it when I first got the bike. nbsp;but Rocky Mt Montesa. but couldn't get me one. I see a few available online now. The tank has been sealed inside. the front tire is an original Pirelli 20 inch triels. the rear is a newer type 17 inch tire. Renthal aluminum bars. new levers. the kicker and kick shaft were new when I went through the motor. The upper chain guard is new. new petcock. the fenders are OEM aluminum. It shifts fine. will sit and idle. handles good for what it is. This is a great bike for a beginner or collector. or just a pit bike. I will try to get more photos as soon as possible. please check the photos and ask questions.
