1960 Ariel Arrow Leader - Nice Original Condition - Runs Well

Up for bid is a 1960 Ariel Arrow.
Frame# - T9615/S
This motorcycle has a look that you just don't see very often. Whenever I have had it out, eople either say its the ugliest bike they have aver seen or the most beautiful. One of the most commonly noted features is how the mufflers are supported from the rear fender. I could tell you a bit of history about this model but if you are looking at this listing you probably already know it.
This bike is in very nice original condition. It has been well cared for and it shows. It does have a couple of spots that have been touched up over the years but overall it presents VERY well.
To my knowledge everything works on it currently. Both the high beam and low beam work, s well as the driving light. Taillight and brake light function, s does the horn.
It start very easily. Typically I tickle the Amal and close the choke. 2 or 3 swift kicks and its running. Open the choke up, et it warm up a bit, nd you're off.
Runs down the road well and shifts fine. It does have old Dunlop tires on it and possibly the front one has a flat spot in it from sitting. At some speeds it has a little bounce in it. I was going to replace them but they still look good and are more correct for the bike than anything I was able to find as a replacement.
Sale includes a wide variety of tools. Some are original and some were added as needed by previous owners. It also includes a few spares, uch as cables and gaskets. There are also a couple of letters that were written when trying to procure some spare parts after Ariel went out of business.
As you can see a previous owner made sure to let people know it was his bike. It has a label on the tool box cover and a smaller label on the rear fender. I left them on there as it adds to the charm of the bike in my opinion.

Chrome and paint is in very good condition for its age. Not much to speak of as far as rust. It does have a few scuffs and scratches in the paint but nothing out of the ordinary. Seat is in nice condition with no tears and good foam.
I do have a title for this motorcycle. However there is one minor discrepancy. It shows the frame number as 9615A.
