Well built VW Trike with 1641cc VWair-cooledmotor and 4 speed trans with reverse. Lots of new parts. She cruises @ 70 mph quite comfortably.
The Good
New 1641 dual port engine (about 1100 miles)
New Weber 2bbl progressive carb
New Petronix electronic ignition
New Brake master cylinder
Brake fluid flushed
New tune up - air & gas filter, lugs, ires
New front brake
New speedometer
Tires in great condition with lots of life left
Swingarm rear suspension
Springer front end
Fresh oil change andtrans-axlegear oil change
Hydraulic brakes
Hydraulic Clutch
The not so good
Only a 5 gallon fuel tank
chips in fiberglass - the trike is ridden, ot shown
cut in seat
front brake not hooked into brake lights. Brake lights only activate on rear brake.
The rest of the story
The gold pill shaped thing behind the front wheel is a brass coolant overflow tank that is used to hold registration and road tools.
The clutch is the left pedal integrated into the running boards.
The rear brake is the right pedal integrated into the running boards.
The gas and rear brake are on the handlebar like a traditional cycle.
Yes, t is a VW. So oil does trickle out of it when you aren't looking. It appears to be leaking near or around oil drain plate but have beenunsuccessfulin confirming or fixing. The push rod tubes do not appear to be the culprit.
The welds on the frame between the VWtrans-axleand the springer front end are strong and well done.The entire frame & running boards are coated in a spray on truck bed liner material.
I put the speedo/odometer on it when purchased a couple of years ago. I don't know the exact mileage. The only thing I can document is the 1,100 or so miles that are on it since purchased.
This does have a Wisconsin "reconstructed" title. It was previously titled in Arkansas. It is titled as a 1973 as that is when I was told that it constructed. I was told that the VW portion is from a 1963 Beetle.
Selling because it is time for new toys for me. More than$11kinvested
