Description

For Sale: 1985 DiBlasi folding scooter/moped (VIN: zchar22t9fv100243)It is made in Italy!!!It seems to be all complete and all original parts. it will need some work and cleaning though. see bellow for details. I think that even some of the dust on it is from the factory :-)This model with solid steel integrated fuel tank is the stiffest and strongest version compared to the newer one with (cost cutting) plastic fuel tank. It runs on 2% 30W 2-stroke oil to regular fuel ratio. It is a kick start; and starts. runs and rides great (I have taken the stator cover and the CVT belt cover off so that you could get an idea of the drive-train condition. see pics). It only has 289 miles on it (500 miles is factory recommended break-in period). It comes with the original key (you could lock it up like a motorcycle. the keyhole is bellow headlight/horn) and original tool bag (on the rear right of the frame)It is relatively rust free. with some minor rust spots where the cables have been rubbing on the frame and some surface rust on some of the chrome parts. It is registered here in Washington. with WA title (I have the physical title and plate for it). The title will ship with the bike. you would just have to let me know the name and address of the buyer. etc. I am reluctant to see it go as it is such an interesting find. though I know that I just will not have time for it. and I would rather have someone else have some fun with it. instead of it collecting dust in the garage. Known issues:Tires have age cracking. though tubes hold air (I have rode it like that. though I do not recommend it)The seat has a small rip on the top rearThe fuel petcock valve seal is slowly leakingThe throttle cable housing has a crease in it. throttle still works fine (it is a regular bicycle cable and housing)Shipping:I estimate the shipping to be about $150. 00 to continental US states. contact me to discuss details. The moped (without box or packing) is fairly light. it weighs about 60lb. so it should be able to be shipped vie ground service (I have a reinforced corrugated cardboard box that the bike will fit into). The bike will be strapped down inside the box and packed with Styrofoam for security during shipping. I could also ship it via freight service. though it will be more expansive. Contact me for details if you want to go that route. Shipping insurance is optional and if you would like for me to insure it. let me know. I have covered what I could remember. there some stuff I might have missed. so please contact me if you have any further questions.
