2002 TXT 280 Gas Gas Pro. One of a kind bike: 1st a brief history of the GAS GAS trial bikes: They offered Std or Edition models and Pro/TXT models in sizes 125. 250. 280 & 300 models. The Std models weighed about 167LBS and the Pro models were a break threw modern design for competition and weighed only 143LBS. which is about 10 pounds lighter than any other trials bike ever made! The Gas Gas Pro Team dominated World International Trails championships from in the early 90’s and won the world championship years 2003. 2003. 2004 and 2005 with the 280cc version of the TXT Pro model. Why this TXT 280 Gas Gas Pro is the one of if the best modern trials bike for most riders! 1st. It is a 2002 model which is the 1st year Gas Gas Pro’s were made and the only year it was available to receive a California Green sticker-so you can rider year round! Not a red sticker like all the other Gas Gas Pro's of later years!2nd the 2002 model has a slightly steeper steering tube angle. which is a benefit to most riders. as it helps keep the front end from washing out in tight turns. 3rd This bike was completely rebuilt. all fluids serviced and updated in 2006 to many 2004 specification parts by West Coast Gas Gas Distributor Adrian Lewis from Lewissportusa. per the following:- New 2004 and later design engine cases and several bearings and gears replaced.
