1970 Suzuki T125 Stinger This low mileage motorcycle was completely stripped and rebuilt for the 2014 and 2015 Rocky Mountain MotoGiros in British Columbia. The frame was powder coated dark blue, ank painted Suzuki yellow and a new seat cover fitted. The crank was inspected and rebuilt with new rod bearings and all seals. The cylinders were bored 0.050” over and new OEM pistons installed just before the 2015 event. Custom cylinder heads with O-ring seals were fit. These heads have much greater fin area than the stock heads. Cranking pressure was set at a conservative 140 psi. Main jets are no longer available for the MD-18 carbs, o a brass adapter was inserted in the main jet gallery and standard Mikuni main jets can now be used. The OEM oil injection system was kept in place. Custom expansion chambers were engineered and fitted. The bike ran flawlessly for the 200 mile endurance run and set a new 125 class course record on the 8 mile mountain hill climb course. All lights, urn signals, orn and gauges work. No rust in the fuel tank. New chain and Michelin tires. The bike needs nothing and comes with a large number of spares. I collected up a number of performance parts, ut never had time to fit and test them.
I am listing this bike for my father. He has put an absolutely massive amount of work into the bike and it shows. These are getting very hard to come by and, n my opinion, ou are unlikely to find another that is this nice. You are also getting a bunch of extra parts that are essentially impossible to find now. These bikes were very rare to start with and they have only gotten more so recently. Feel free to ask any questions and they will be answered as soon as possible. He would be happy to talk about the bike on the phone as well if you would like more details on what has been done.
- 2 spare mildly ported and decked standard size cylinders.
- Set of big bore pistons. One 0.050” over OEM spare piston, ne set 0.050” over moped pistons and rings that should be cheap alternatives to OEM.
- OEM heads. Spare O-rings for the custom heads and spare piston pin clips
- Air scoop to improve cylinder cooling
- Original front hub and spokes. Note that the speedo only works with this hub not the large brake hub presently fitted.
- Original high pipes and silencer tips.
- Factory parts manual and 2 period magazines featuring the bike.
- Selection of larger and smaller main jets. Custom inlet manifolds for larger mikuni carbs.
