I always new there would be a day in which I'd have to give up riding rigid. and that day has come. I finished this bike at the end of last year just in time for the weather to change and just actually got the title work done about a month ago. It has a max of 2000 miles on it since it was built. It's probably closer to 1000 miles but I want to err on the side of caution. Its not perfect as I rode it up and down every gravel. dirt and blacktop road I could find. but as you can see. it's pretty nice. So lets just go over some specs and I'll let you make the decisions. Complete rebuilt engine. New crank bearings (roller bearings. not ball). rod bearings. sludge trap cleaned. . 30 over pistons and fresh bore. American made rings. transmission main bearings. clutch hub bearings. valve guides. valves lapped. fresh gaskets. the whole shebang. Starts on the first kick. idles like it should. runs flawlessly. It runs a gel battery with stock electronics (points. coils. etc. ) with the exception of a Sparx solid state regulator/rectifier box. The frame is a 2" stretch 2" drop bolt on hardtail. The front end is a 3. 5" dropped 39MM Sportster frond end with the caliper mounts shaved and the lower legs poly powder coated semi gloss black. The front wheel is a 19" sportster wheel. the back is stock Triumph both have been powder coated along with the frame. Anything you see that is black on this bike is poly powder coat with the exception of the pipes. It has a slim line tank. the fenders I made on my wheel. The vertical oil tank as well. The oil tank uses the stock cap and screen for ease of repair. The seal in the gas cap doesn't seal well either. I've been leaving the gas tank less full and not worrying about it. I'm running a JRC carb with a single enriching knob. jetted to get 45 plus MPG and run properly. It doesn't drip fuel anywhere. I notched the cases for a 21 tooth sprocket up front. running a 43 in the back. I'm 290 pounds and it runs 70 down the highway with ease. The back tire was mounted less than a month ago and the front tire was mounted last year. The front tire. for some reason. it already starting to dry crack. It's tubed. so not really a big deal. but I have another new identical tire that has been hanging in my shop that your welcome to if you want to pay the shipping. The paint has some chips from riding and some cracks on the edge of the back fender. but overall the bike still looks nice. I've tried to show all of this in the pictures. It's jockey shift. single left brake. The brake linkage is push/pull so it doesn't come to a quick halt. but i've never had a problem stopping when I needed to. It's old. them's the brakes. The wiring is all in the frame and looks nice. I've kept the cables and fuel lines all pretty tight too. The bottom line is this; I built this bike for myself. and I did it right. but my back is telling me it's time. so it's time. Please ask questions. If you live near me. feel free to come check it out and have a ride. It's local pickup or you arrange the freight. I have a loading dock at work at my disposal and will gladly help the freight guy load it. Thanks for looking. ADDITIONS: Looking at my notes the cylinders and pistons are . 060 over not . 030 over. the cylinders aren't powder coated they're painted. and the rear sprocket is 46 teeth.
