Selling 1961 Triumph Bonneville(Duplex Frame)-Several mods have been made to upgrade the bike. "Nine Bolt Head",modified Rocker Boxes,Amal Concentrics,Twin Leading Shoe Ft. Brake. Buchanan SS Spokes an good chrome Dunlop rims, eighton foam and seat cover from UK, xcellent museum quality paint by Bill Kee who painted many of Otis Chandlers museum collection.Tank was "gel coated" inside to prevent corrosion or leaks. The frame and engine are Matching Numbers. The engine had a "Top End" 10 years ago under the direction of Lee Standley and I did all the "Tricks" he showed me and even now the compression is Rock Hard..Everything works except the brake light-(I believe the switch is bad)the bike rides smoothly with Very Low vibrations at cruising speeds,I chose not to run a battery because of acid corrosion and fragile life. In its stead a capacitor was used which works just fine, the headlight is a little dim on idling but otherwise OK..I have owned and ridden this bike for over 15 years,it has collected "ribbons" at bike shows as a "Rider". A Pay Pal deposit of 500.00 will be required within 72 hrs. of winning bid and balance sent to me by bank transfer or certified cashiers check. It is the buyers responsibility to arrange and pay for pick up or shipping; however I will assist in any way I can. I would deliver within a 100 mi radius for nominal fee-thanks for looking and good luck bidding, rogertriumphOn Jan-17-16 at 17:38:09 PST, eller added the following information:
Note to Bidders: the chrome on right headpipe is slightly "oxidized" (not rust) but the chrome has lost its luster and won't polish out. about 6 in. from exhaust flange-not that unsightly but it is a slight issue you should know
