1968 Yamaha Newport 50 U-50 Vintage Scooter Moped

1968 Yamaha Newport 50 Scooter. Starts and runs good. All original machine never restored. 4035 original miles. Great restoration starter bike. paint and plastic has great color. not faded. Original seat is soft and pliable but has a hole in it covered with tape. pipe is in great condition with just a couple dings. Ignition switch is original but the key is broke off inside. we use a screwdriver to turn it on and off. rims shine nice but have a small amount of pitting. Tires are original and have a small amount of weather checking. The front forks have dings in them and the front plastic headlamp/speedo shroud is cracked and taped up. (see photo). the left plastic wind shroud is cracked and broken on the bottom mounting bolt (see photo). the lights do not work. the electrical system will need some attention. The battery cover has a small rust hole in it. The front brake cable and lever are missing. Great hard to find scooter/moped! Sold as is. I do occasional shipping within 700 miles of zip 55051.
