Superb Example XS850 Triple .2 owner,6k.They don't come any Cleaner

These bike were the progression of the 750 triple. Yamaha decided to make a touring iron to compete with BMW. replete with shaft drive but for a lot less money. With more horsepower ( 79) . modernized suspension and improved styling. They were made in 80 and 81 ONLY. This is the best example I have seen. of a rare model. There are several specials available and I have seen one of these converted to a standard . ut nothing as original and well kept. I bought this bike in 09 from its original owner in Brentwood California. It runs strong and sounds awesome . I admit to having a sweet spot for triples since owning a Triumph T 150 back in 79 and the sound this bike makes reminds me of those days. . ithout the oil leaks and unreliability !Chrome on the mufflers is outstanding. The tank has one tiny scratch . lmost non visible and the paint shines . The seat looks like its never been sat on. It won the Peoples Choice award at the VJMC show and Swap meet in Eustis FL in 2014 . Not so good ; the chrome on the front guard has discoloration and the tyres should be changed for serious riding . aving said that I held a steady 90mph coming down I 95 the other evening . At this speed the bike is turning 6000rpm with a redline of 9500. It is strong . n fact it runs like a new engine . and now is ready for a New rider . Good Luck Bidding.
