1981 Yamaha XV 920

This is a non running bike. I bought the bike with the intentions of doing a minor restoration. That hasn't happened and probably won't so it's time to let it go. I have too many good intentions and I am narrowing my focus. Things that I know are broken or need repair. Gas tank has rust inside. starter doesn't always engage (these bikes are notorious for this). battery is dead. tank has a dent in it (see pictures). exhaust has a leak near the area the headers go into the tailpipes. nd the left side cover has had a hole in it and been welded (like that when I bought it). I have the side covers for this (they are not in the pictures). This bike has ran since I owned it. It is a very comfortable bike to ride. Probably the most comfortable I have ever ridden. These are kind of rare. They only made these 3 years and I believe all three years are a little different from one another. These turned into the Virago. This could be a nice bike with a little work or parts bike.
