Description

Tough to do but I need to sell my trusty 1972 CT2. Bike is a 175cc 2 stroke. Engine starts easy and runs great. Stops and handles excellent. Trans shifts easy and clutch does not slip. I've had this bike for a few years and have done alot of work to it, ut for the most part it is an original paint & equipment bike. It's a great rider around town, eliable and quick.
The engine starts usually 2nd kick cold if ridden weekly. Brakes stop the bike perfectly. Has brake light switches on the front brake lever and foot lever. All lights work as they should. Charging system replenishes the battery without worry. Key switch works perfect in Day position (Pos I) and "Night" position (Pos II). I have the title, itled in Idaho in my name. Bike is completely turn key, eady to ride.
Here's some of what I've done to the bike over the past few years:- Rear tire replaced one year ago, hinko 3.50X18. Little wear.- Steering head bearings cleaned/regreased, nd adjusted.- Upper/lower triple clamps repainted, ardware polished.- Genuine Yuasa battery installed 2 years ago, till in great shape. Yuasa's last.- Seat recovered, an painted. Pan is not rusty, oam is not crumbly.- New air filter.- Clutch replaced last year.- Crank seals replaced last year.- Fork seals and dust boots replaced 3 months ago.- Fuel tap rubber parts replaced about a year ago.- Tank flushed, as some surface rust and is not lined.- Carb has been recently cleaned.- Repainted tool box and skid plate.- Bulbs in instruments replaced last year.- Timing reset, oints cleaned a few months ago.- Cleaned spark arrestor a few months ago.- Oil injection regularly serviced, nd works perfect. Just gas anywhere and go. I exclusively use Redline 2-Stroke Racing injector oil.
This bike is not perfect, he bike was ridden hard before I received it, nd the condition it is in is EXACTLY how I received it, XCEPT:- Headlight ring dented, nd headlight glass cracked (light still works).- Dent on top of headlight bucket, hiny spot where paint is missing is from me.
The balance of the bike's condition (see the detailed photos below).- Tank is dented, aint chipped.- Paint on frame has typical exposure surface corrosion.- Piston does rattle (compression 120PSI).- Headlight ears at bucket mount have been tweaked and straightened, aint has chipped off.- Headlight bucket dented, eadlight lens cracked.- No original fender (high mount on the bike is how I got it).- Headlight switch hi/lo knob missing (but does still slide and switches headlight hi/lo).- Horn not mounted in usual location, s now under tank but works perfect.- Has thermoflow shocks off a later model Yamaha. I have the originals, ut their appearance is rough.- Front tire is original, nd works fine for me, hough you may want to replace it.- Tach gave up recently, ust goes full range whenever engine is running.- Has serrated edge foot pegs, riginals are gone.
Bike is located in Coeur d'Alene, daho. Here's how you can get the bike:1. Arrange to have the bike shipped. Can be expensive, o your homework first, nd you as the buyer areresponsiblefor all arrangements. Search the web, here are alot of companies that do this. 2. Pick up here in Coeur d'Alene.3. I can deliver to Montana, ut no further east than Billings. Also upper Idaho, ut no further south than Lewiston. Or very eastern Washington (Walla Walla/Tri-Cities/Spokane and in between North/South), UT BUT BUT!! You have to ask me FIRST!! I've described the bike as best possible, may have left something out. The pictures tell the story, o look at them carefully. This is a 43 year oldmotorcyclethat requires regular maintenance. You can't expect to get on and ride this bike and do nothing. These old Enduros reward you when you take care of them. Good luck!
