These bikes are getting harder to find in original condition. This 650 has been in my family since it rolled off the sales lot in 1977. It has been well maintained and is a definite blast from the past. This is a list of things replaced and taken care of: swingarm shaft, wingarm bronze bushings, riple tree bronze "wedge" bearings, ork seals, park plugs, oots, ires "copper", oils, cam advance plate, rms n springs, oints, apacitors, lternator shoes, leaned reset and rebuilt carbs, ew floats, etted carbs +2 up from stock, +N cone air filters, tock exhaust shortened and removed 1 baffle layer (trust me not by choice, affles were rattling), ew seals and gaskets for pet cocks and finally a new battery purchased 2 days ago. Now I have original coils and electrical parts, ir filter and the stock boxes, urn signals and stems (note in picture rears are shortened), hrome rack, peed and tach. cables, xtra set of carbs, lymers manual and other parts. What it needs....tires and ridden to local classic events.
This 650 runs great! https://youtu.be/BfiwquLRNu8
Many pics for you to see. There really isnt much to knock this bike on, mall smudge on tank top, air line scratches on tank side (really have to be searching for it), ome chrome pitting and surface rust very minor. Could use some bulbs for inside the tach/ speedo collage. Pretty much the only thing I dont have for the bike is the original mirrors and hand grips.
So ask yourself, hen was the last time you have seen or heard the throaty rumble of a 650 twin?
