1960 BMW Isetta 300 Driver
This is a mechanically restored, eliable driver example. 95% complete (see below). Just needs some cosmetic love. I have a clear title and it's currently registered in CA.
I've sourced parts like the front logo, irrors, hifter knob, uel cap, ear luggage rack etc., o the car is very nearly complete. It has the rare-ish side trim, s shown in the photos. It's got some dings, ents and scratches but virtually NO rust. Starts every time, peedometer works. I've had it up to 50mph.
Shifts fine to all gears, lthough it has the typical "wants to pop out of third" that is common for this vehicle.
I wrote to the archivist in Germany, nd while titled as a 1960, his is actually a '57!
WHAT'S DONEEngine rebuilt with cylinder and head from GermanyTransfer case rebuiltSilent Block upgrade to steering (no shimmy of death at 30+)New tubes and tiresWheels powdercoated and re-assembledBrakes restoredNew exhaustCarb rebuiltFuel shutoff replacedSeat restored in black with grey piping and stitching.(It was my plan to paint the car grey/white)Front and rear bumpers from Harrington Group.Does not come with rear nerf bars, installed reflectors with I think look cool but you can undo that if you like.
