I'm considering selling my beloved 2000 BMW M-Roadster. I've owned this car since 2003. It's a garage queen. Regular maintenance at Dinan in Morgan Hill, and also in Mountain View and Campbell (when I moved from Morgan Hill to Santa Clara / San Jose in 2008).
The car has some modifications - otherwise it's stock. The mods were:
1) The Dinan Supercharger (I had the Morgan Hill Dinan facility install it for $10k)2) Randy Forbes subframe reinforcement (got the cool looking differential with fins - $5k)3) The gear shift knob (previous owner did this mod)
The Dinan Supercharger is CARB legal - meaning there is no issue whatsoever getting this car smoged (in California) - since this is a legal supercharger.
I had the roof replaced in 2010 by the BMW dealer local to me. (for $4,200)
By the way, the subframe reinforcement is a must for these cars (Google Z3 Subframe). I would not considering driving a Z3 without reinforcement. The Randy Forbes modification is more of a re-design rather than patch work - in other words one of the best reinforcements (if not the best) out there. Upon Randy Forbes recommendation I had Performance Technic in Dublin, CA (formerly Pleasanton) install Randy's subframe kit. It looks really nice.
One picture (the first / featured image) was taken recently, but the others (that were done professionally) were from 2003 - will update as soon as I can - but the car is in great condition.
There ARE normal amounts of wear and tear for a vehicle this age and mileage. Some minor scratches and minor (very small) dent from a car door. The roundel on the front is fading and abraded from normal highway driving. This can easily be replaced. Some of the red colors for the ///M logo have faded quite a bit. The glove box rattles (kind of annoying - but I hear there's a fix for that - otherwise it is functional - opens and closes normally).
Message me for additional information.
