I purchased this Reatta fromone of thecraftsmen who participated in hand-crafting this verycar.

The craftsman (Tom Havens) had accepted his option to buy this car before it was completed - thus, it was hand built with loving care including the famous Buick "portholes" probably the only Reatta with thesefactory installed iconic portholes.

History:The Reatta was a limited production luxury sports car, carefully hand-crafted by Buick Division of GM at the Reatta Craft Center in Lansing, Michigan, introduced in 1988, ending production for Reattas in 1991. The 1991 Convertibles were extremely limited withonly 305 Reatta Convertibles reportedly produced, with newly revised research showing Sales ofonly 153 offered to the publicand 46 more to GM Execs, with the remainder of 106 unfinished or unsaleable, and offered to Tech Schools, or destroyed. All of which makes this 1991 Reatta Convertible even more rare and very collectible!

New Features for 1991 Model Year: The 1991 Reattas differ substantially from the 1990 model year, with only 305 Convertibles produced and many new innovations. The Engine was upgraded to the170HP L-27 Tuned Port OHV 3.8 Litre "bullet-proof " V-6.TheAutomatic Transmission was upgradedto the4T60-E, Electronically Controlled by the PCMto manage Engine power and torque. The addition of16-inch Wheels, wider Tires, a new Bosch ABS Braking System, revisedFrame Bracingfor added rigidity, etc., which all contribute to a safer and better handling car.Twilight Sentinelwas introduced to control Automatic Headlamps and exterior Lighting. A Cup Holder in the Center Console, andPower Pull Down for the Convertible Top Rear Bowwere added.
