1912 Buick Model 29 Touring. Tour proven! See VIDEO TEST DRIVE. 1912 Buick Model 29 TouringListed on behalf of Monte Shelton Motors. Long-time collector owned in Oregon. This 1912 Buick received a full restoration in the 1970's and was regularly driven from Portland to Reno (550 miles each way) for the annual Harrah's Auto Collection Swap Meet. It has always been garaged and maintained and runs wonderfully today. Recently serviced. See video. which was taken last week. The 201 cubic inch. 4-cylinder open-valve engine produces 25. 5 horsepower. Lots of torque. Capable of speeds up to 60 mph. Original crank start with magneto. Sliding gear. 3-speed transmission with reverse. Leather-faced. aluminum cone clutch. Shaft drive. 2 wheel (rear) brakes. Good radiator. Runs cool. Buick motometer radiator cap. Working speedometer and clock. A battery system with electric headights (integrated into the original fixtures). tail lights and turn signals were added. Safe to drive in modern traffic. (It stops traffic!)108" wheelbase. Large. comfortable body seats 5 and is in excellent condition. This was the first model year for true doors on the Buick. Nice warm brown paint with straw yellow pinstriping. Black fenders and chassis. Recently detailed. Leather upholstery is smooth and supple. No rips or tears. Top is in very good condition. Folds easily. Lots of brass throughout. Folding windshield with recently replaced glass. Wood spoke wheels are in excellent condition. They are tight and have recently been checked and oiled. No wobble or shimmy. Very good 36" x 4-1/2" tires. Two spares. Tracks straight down the road. Steers and stops easily. Please see video test drive.
