Proudly Owned, oved and Driven since March 1998Many of you in the US and all over the world may know this car in person or from the internet. For the 17 years I have owned this car and driven it people always asked me if I would ever sell it and my answer in many different forms was " NO ".Sometimes I said "Nope", nbsp;"Never ", r "For the right price anything is possible" The truth and the matter of fact is thatafterall these years ofowning, njoying andmodifyingwhat was and is still my dream car, still don't want to sell this car.But like I said to Matt Farah on an interview about my SAAB's " I would never want to sell my saab's but sometimes if you want to drive another car you gonna have to let another car go". That being said and after so many years of love and joy,I am putting it out there for anyone that might be interested in giving this one of a kind incredible ride the home it truly deserve. So once again do I want to sell my SPG ?. NO. Will I let it go to someone that value it as much as I do for the right price ? possibly.Hope thisstatementclear the water for anyone that is wondering why I am posting the car for sale when Itrulydon't want to sell itNow here are the things you really care about.

Additional Information with regards to the value of the vehicle.
The car has been insured since 2007 as a Modified Car for the value of $25,000 by one the most reputable insurance companies in the US.I do believe that the new owner should be able to carry the same policy over. However that will depend on their qualifications ( Numbercars they own in their house hold, heir driving record, tc)
The following are previously asked questions about the car that I thought might be useful to any interested party and to other SAAB owners as well.
Q:

Hey friend, hat is the horse power of this beautiful machine?

A:

last time i had the car on the dyno was in 2011 at SOC . The dyno conditions that day were as horrible as it gets. It was an extremely hot day 90+ ambient temperature.

The dyno machine brakes were over heating so the technician decided to use the air blower ( usually used to simulate moving speed cooling by pushing air through the

intercooler/ radiator cores ) to keep the dyno brakes cool insteadof cooling the intercooler and the radiator. I also did not have the water / methanol injection on and I did not

have the 85 exhaust cam installed at the time. So it was basically a heat soak. That day the car put down 254 Wheel hp which

translates to 293 hp at the crank according to the following website .mk5cortinaestate.co.uk/calculator4.php .

So on a nice cool day with the water/ methanol injection and with 85T exhaust cam, would guesstimate 275-280 Wheel HP which translates to about 320 crank HP.

This is about the best i can estimate based on knowing the car and how it pulls differently based on ambient temperatures and moving speed.

I can tell you that 4th and 5th gear in this car will blow your mind away and have many times blown other high performance cars out of the water.

Thank you and please let me know if you have any other questions.

Q:

when was the last time the engine/turbo rebuilt??

Nov-03-15

A:

Thanks you for the Inquiry. I am not sure how familiar you are with SAAB engines but C900 original blocks are near bullet proof unless you treat them wrong with a bad irresponsible tune.

That being said I can proudly tell you that the bottom end on this engine has never been touched. I have upgraded everything around that block ( 2.3 head. fuel, xhaust etc) But the bottom end never

failed. The reason for that is simply responsible tuning by using only the best and most tested direct bolt products on the market. Big thanks to Gary from Swedish Dynamics and Jack Stoll for their

dedication tomaking productsthat do what they are designed to do without sacrificing or risking your engine. What you should also know is that no two upgrades were ever done to this car at the same

time.

Every part that was installed was done separately and monitored for a long period of time to make sure it does what it is supposed to do with out any scarifies or risk of damaging the engine.

What you should Also know is that I have seen many rebuilt engines by reputable builders go boom within months.

I really do not know the reason for it but by seeing so many i became a strong believer in SAAB original Built blocks.

I have seen friends with rebuild engines blow their new engines within weeks and once they put back a used original SAAB engine they end up driving again without any issues.
So the engine is original with 0ver 180k miles and it pulls like a freight train and does not have any blow by of any kind.
The turbo is a Swedish Dynamics Red series and was rebuilt under warranty 7 years ago by swedish Dynamics. Also works perfectly with this engine and creates tons of reliable power.
This is a car that was build to last, e fast and reliable. Not an over night build with tons of Performance parts thrown on it without knowing how exactly they improved the performance of the car.
Hope that answers your question.
Thank you and please let me know if you have any other questions

Q:well i understand what you are saying but after 180k main and conecting rod bearings have friction over high load conditions causing wear on the crankshaft and components,

so i was just wondering if you have ever check wear on main and connecting rods.

A: Last time the engine was out was in 2014 when the gear box was rebuilt by Mark Boykin In San Diego. At the time I asked him to see if any work was needed while the engine was out and nothing

was recommended for the bottom end.

Mark Boykin is a well knows SAAB Master tech. He rebuilt tons of of SAAB engines and gear boxes and have built and raced SAAB track cars for many years.

The answer to your question can also be learned from the thread #ID=367386on saabnet. Sorry i could not post the direct link on the posting as ebay no longer allows link posting.

Here is what Gary from Swedish Dynamics ( the Man when it comes to reliable performance parts in a C900) replied to someone with a similar question.
No need to worry about the lower assembly unless you suspect a lubrication problem but we have customers and 100K miles is typically considered a break-in period for the B202 engine assembly.
The block castings are very hard high Nickel which allowed SAAB to employ a hard chromium piston ring. SAAB also used tri-metal connecting rod bearings on a very hard forged crankshaft journal.
Doing an engine rebuild using a Deves or cast iron piston ring will only provide a shortened service life in the hard cylinder bore. Also, ny standard (Glyco/Fed Mogul, RW, tc) bearing used as replacement
at the connecting rod could also pose a problem as these bearings are much softer than the tri-metal Vandervall originals.
If compression is equal on all 4 cylinders and up to 140+ psi ea, onsider this engine ready for use but you shouldn't have to concern yourself with a rebuild unless you suspect you're in need.
If doing the rebuild, ake certain that you use the right components but we typically suggest not trying to fix something unless isn't broken.
Best of luck and regards,
GSK at SWEDISH DYNAMICS,INC
Q:Hello, noticed the car is titled in New York State, owever it has been in California for some time. Why has it not been registered in CA? Will the new owner have any trouble with registration?
A:I have not tried to register the car in CA so I would not know the answer to this question. I just like the 900 AERO personalized NY plates and I did want to lose them.
Q:What a dream Saab. I recently saw both your Saab's featured on a YouTube channel.
What a joy it was to watch. Saab enthusiasts, specially those who fine tune and upgrade their classics, re a dying breed. I hope it finds a deserving home.
I can only lyrics hope one day to own another C900 and unlock it's true potential the way you have
A: Thanks for the kind words. I am glad you enjoyed the video. Hope you will own one soon and have a so much fun with it.
Just for the records I will always have SAAB's in my life. I would love one day soon to buy an already built TurboX or Build my own if I can afford the time to build it.
Thanks again.
Best,
Khaled
