This is a beautiful 1972 Jeep Commando. This model was a Jeep's answer to the initial success of the Ford Bronco. The 1972 marked the end of the traditional Jeep grill with round headlights and also sealed the fate of this model Jeep since ardent Jeep fans appreciate the traditional look. Mechanics - The engine is a newer 304 crate motor with less than 14. 00 miles. It runs strong and sounds great. Power steering works well. as do the breaks. Original leaf springs and newer shocks show standard factory height although the 31 inch tires do give some additional lift without significantly compromising the original look. Automatic transmission. 4x4. Vehicle always starts although will take some loving if she's sat for a week or so. Gas gauge is working but needs to be calibrated. Paint - Was repainted with single stage paint 1999 Ford Medium and light Sonora Gold Body exterior and interior are beautiful overall with a few minor imperfections. The under-body is rust free. The top has some chipping that was covered with sealant to prevent rust and might need repainting. The color combination is classy and understated. It is a head turner! Interior - Newer Ford Explorer Leather Power High-Back Seats. Rear seat is an original uncovered bench seat. Recently added roll-bar for safety. Has after-market CD player and speakers. Newer full carpeting with no wear. The heater works like a charm. Exterior - After-market Steel Horse bumpers and nerf bars with custom paint color accent well. Crystal clear brand new windshield. The body is in great shape and the bullnose gives the Jeep a unique desirable look. We do have some parts and manuals to go along. We are selling it because we are military and moving to a cold and wet climate and will not have the storage space to keep it inside. It can be used in current condition as a reliable daily driver.
