Description

Low mileage 1999 Jeep Cherokee. 88. 87 miles - NOT 188. 87 but 88. 87. Barely broken in for a Cherokee. Mileage may change a little because I do drive it to work occasionally to keep it from sitting. 3" Procomp lift (Part #55590) installed after I purchased the vehicle (lift includes new front springs. new lower control arms. all new shock absorbers. new stabilizer bar links and new rear leaf springs - didn't opt for the add-a-leaf. went with new). Iron Rock Offroad Slip Yoke Eliminator (SYE) installed with new custom Tatton double cardan rear drive shaft. Before installing lift installed new upper/lower ball joints. upper control arms and bushings. stabilizer bar bushings. steering damper. inner/outer tie rod ends and drag link. track bar. left/right front wheel bearings and left/right front axle u joints. All parts authentic Mopar except ball joints (moog I believe) and the steering stabilizer came from 4WD Hardware). New valve cover gasket and oil filter adapter "O" ring (Felpro) with recent oil change (Mobil 1 Synthetic). Installed new radiator and had cooling system flushed at local Jeep dealer. Jeep dealer also performed wheel alignment. Road Force balanced 4 new General Grabber AT2 31x10. 5x15 tires (after lift install) and changed transmission fluid and filter (trans service). New brakes. drums and rotors all around. I planned on keeping this for a while so anything that looked even slightly worn I changed. Starts. runs and drives flawlessly. Transmission shifts smoothly and properly. Actually takes bumps in the road better than my 2008 Wrangler Sahara. This Cherokee has the "full time" all wheel drive option. in addition to "part time" 4 wheel drive High. Lo and normal 2 wheel drive. All modes of 4 wheel drive operate properly. Only current mechanical needs will be the muffler (not necessary to change at the moment but will need to be done sooner rather than much later) and AC system service (needs a refrigerant charge). Passed NYS inspection good till October '15 My wife works for a Porsche dealership and someone traded this in (they must have hit the lottery). I've owned 2 prior XJ Cherokees (sold them both here on eBay - check my first 2 feedbacks as a seller)and when this came into her dealership she asked if I wanted to buy it. I already have a JK Wrangler and a new Durango so my response was I don't need another vehicle. but I'll take it. My thought was to keep this as a toy. I built it up to my liking. planning to keep it for a long time. but soon came to realize if I'm gonna have a toy I'd rather have a CJ7. Looking for one now but only after this sells. The body is in good shape. looks good from a few feet away. No accidents (dealer ran Carfax before trade in. clean no issues) but there are some dings and touched up scratches. Paint on roof is not the best but is WAY better than recently sold eBay item 201301947959. The roof paint thing seems to be a common issue. Only rust I found is on the lower corner of the driver's door. Rockers are solid. Interior in good shape however there is a small tear in the vinyl on the driver's seat and the headliner all the way in the back by the speaker is separated. I saw this kit in the autoparts store that supposedly can be used to repair small headliner sags. It's a hypodermic needle that you can inject glue under the headliner and stick it back up. I tried it and only made it look more noticable. sorry. Radio is an AM/FM cassette. I hard wired an AUX input in place of the cassette. Pushing in a blank cassette activates the aux in allowing use of an ipod or whatever you choose that has a 3. 5mm output jack. I currently use a Belkin bluetooth interface (included in sale) which allows music or hands free phone operation through the audio system. That being said. cassette tapes can no longer be played. But who uses them anymore? Will assist with loading onto carrier for shipping. Of course you are welcome to pick up locally. Will post pics from when I purchased and after modifications. so please don't be confused. Thanks for looking! On Mar-19-15 at 13:59:41 PDT. seller added the following information: Actually has 87. xx miles. See pics which I updated because I didn't like the pics taken with my phoneOn Mar-20-15 at 06:10:21 PDT. seller added the following information:REPLACED ELECTRIC COOLING FAN LAST NIGHT (EBAY ITEM 151089791813) AUTHENTIC MOPAR. SERPENTINE BELT IS ALSO NEW. I'M GETTING LOTS OF "HOW MUCH" QUESTIONS. I'D PREFER TO ANSWER QUESTIONS ABOUT THE VEHICLE AND NOT THE MONEY. WE WILL ALL KNOW HOW MUCH ON THURSDAY 3/26. On Mar-23-15 at 09:49:27 PDT. seller added the following information:As of last week air conditioner has been charged and and is functioning. That's why the electric fan was replaced because when the AC compressor kicks in so does the electric cooling fan. Fan was making noise so I changed it. Had never heard the fan run because it was never called on to operate until the AC was working.
