These being so clean, re very hard to get, ince many prefer this 240D, ecause the minimal maintainence required, eing without the Turbo. Most of these never ever reached North America, ince its a Manual and are hidden in random peoples garages in Germany. For the simple reason, ost people who imported these from the 80s wanted Automatic transmissions. And in Germany at the time, utomatic was unheard of and foolish.You will rare ever see one, s clean as this one, ere, specially in the Northeast. Yes there is snow in the background, ut the car has barely been used during snow/etc. Most of its life it was garage kept. Which explains the very clean body. Overall the exterior is in EXCELLENT condition. And nobody believes its a 1982. The car has never EVER had any paintwork or accident work, ince its never been in any accidents. All the body panels are straight as they should be. You can check the carfax history of the mileage, hich is very low of 149K. Which makes this car a baby, till yet to be broken in. The interior as you can clearly see is holding up beautifully, ith the Mercedes Tex. The car runs/drives very nicely and strongly as much as a 240D Non Turbo could. The clutch feels great, nd no gears grind. They slip like butter inside all 4 gears. I had the engine/transmission checked thoroughly, hile doing the oil change, nd everything was highly approved by a German local mechanic shop I use.This beautiful strong 240D has had the brakes done the past year or so, s well as New Monroe Shocks, Brand New Tires, ew Battery, nd I just had the oil changed the other day. The battery is also brand new. The glow plugs were recently changed also.AND THE AIR CONDITIONER IS CONVERTED to R134 and ICE COLD!!!! With a brand new Air Conditioner system installed in the engine, ew AC compressor. Even in the cold weather, he car starts right up easily. Though, he car has the block heater working great also, ncase you have sub zero weather. If you leave it plugged it overnight it will start like its summer time outside, ven in subzero weather.
