1953 Oldsmobile Buick Pontiac Cadillac Rare high end 98 Convertable

1953 Oldsmobile 98 Convertible Original convertible with frame up restoration 20 years ago out of an estate of well over 200 expensive cars in the collection. Part of the estate's endowment gave 170 million to one university. One of the employees who oversaw the collection stated the mileage at 88. 00 to be original and the motor and transmission had been gone through at the time of the purchase. This can not be verified by paperwork as none of the over 200 cars were given any records. not even cars over $300. 00. The money from these cars went to another university. The car was repainted 20 years ago and shows beautifully with few flaws. The body panels are very straight. The chrome is done to a high standard with some small pieces that were not done at that time and should be re-chromed. The stainless is polished to a high finish. The glass is nice original with very few flaws. A good portion of the rubber had been replaced and is in good condition. The seats were done in new leather and are still in like new condition due to it not being used and sitting in the museum. The carpets and top are also still in excellent condition. The door panels are original 62 year old panels and are good but not up to the rest of the interior. The hydraulic power windows. power top. and power seats work well. The lights. turn signals. windshield wipers and heater work. The horn does not work. The motor runs like a watch. The transmission is amazing with nice shift and no clunk. The drive train in general is working well. Brakes work well and drives smoothly. No leaks noticeable from the motor. transmission. power steering. hydraulic system or rear end. The test for this was it sat for 3 weeks with nothing dripping on the floor. The trunk is finished off nicely. The tires are all like new. A refreshed original 98 convertible that shows beautifully.
