My adjective in the title is correct. Eshelman Motors used the words Child Sport Car, ithout the lower case letter "s." It was never advertised as a "Childs" or "Sports" car. The Eshelman Child Sport Cars were very, ery expensive. Only an extremely wealthy family could afford to buy their child-children an Eshelman Child Sport Car. Not only must the family have had immense wealth, he buyer had to own anestate, arm, r haveaccess to a track. The model years of Eshelman Child Sport Cars were1953-1956. With the exception of the 1953 Eshelman, ll of the front grills had the year of manufacture. Please note that this front grill reflects " '54 ESHELMAN." Eshelman Child Sport Cars were sold by mail order and advertised in the magazinePopular Science. The cost of a 1954 Eshelman Child Sport Car was$295.00 plus shipping.This$295.00cost in 1954equates to$2,436.00in2015. I purchased this Eshelman in 1990 and have owned it for 25 years. This is Eshelman Serial Number555. I have not done anything to the car except add premium gas, il changes twice a year and I have driven it in many, any parades. As you can see through the grill, t still has the OEM 2 Horsepower Briggs and Stratton four (4) cycle engine. To cold start the Eshelman, he manual choke knob is pulled out through the large OEM factory hole to the right of the center of the dash. The factory through-the-dash hole for the accelerator cable is accessed near the large OEM hole. To attain speed, he accelerator cable is pulled out all the way and half-way for cruising. The handle of the pull start rope is high on the passenger side of the dash. Pull the rope cord, he engine will start, hen slowly push in the manual choke control knob until satisfied with the engine idle. The Eshelman has a through-the dash toggle switch that stops the engine. Once pushed down, he engine stops and the toggle switch automatically reverts to its "up" position. Please note thatthisEshelman is able topull a trailer, s reflected in the photo of the rear of my 1954 Eshelman. The OEMAero Dart 10 X 2.75hard rubber tires are still on the vehicle. These tires have several small areas where the hard rubber is gone. The tires today are exactly as they were when I bought my Eshelman in 1990. Since I purchased my Eshelman, he car has only been driven on smooth streets, ever on sidewalks. Braking is on the rear wheels by a curved piece of heavy metal and activated by the brake pedal. The dimensions are as follows and are as precise as is possible:length:54inches -width:25inches-height:25inches weight:extremely heavy. Please bid if you wish to own this very desirable and extremely rare collector car but please don't waste my time or your time with bids you cannot afford to pay. I amnot a shipperso you will be required to make your own arrangements for shipping to your location. Naturally, will assist in any way I can. If you prefer I deliver the Eshelman to you at your expense, erhaps arrangements can be made. Please do not send me an email unless you have a specific question that pertains to the Eshelmanonly. If you have any questions other than pricing and would prefer to speak with me, lease feel free to call:Howard G. Singer:619-980-4586.Please be so kind to let me explain that there isno such thingas"sniping"onanyeBay auction. It is amusing to me that there are individuals that believe in the existence of"sniping."Those of you who believe in"sniping,"I would like to ask you one question. Suppose there are 18,000 people who have a"sniping"app. Which one of those 18,000 people would it serve? I strongly recommend you not wait until the last two days or several hours and minutes before the close of the auction to bid on my 1954 Eshelman Child Sport Car. If you feel as though you can wait until the last minute and sneak up on it . . .wrong! It's very simple. The individual who bids thehighestamountwinsthe 1954 Eshelman Child Sport Car auction regardless whether their bid is placed on thefirst dayof the auction or at any other time.Links are not permitted in an eBay auction. When entering the following two titles in YouTube, lease remember to omit the quotation marks. To my knowledge, hese are without a doubt the most enjoyableYouTubetitles:"1954 Eshelman Sport Car: 2010 Kenosha Civic Veterans Parade”and“1955 Eshelman sport 55 car”Great luck and skill to each and every one of you. Please remember . . . you can’t take it with you.
There are minor scratches on both sides and the OEM Aero Dart 10 X 2.75 hard rubber tires have minor area of rubber missing. On Jun-16-15 at 21:10:24 PDT, eller added the following information:
