FOR AUCTION IS A 1968 TRIUMPH TR250 WITH OVERDRIVE. THIS IS ONE OF THE FIRST 800 CARS MADE. THIS IS AN ORIGINAL BLACK CAR. CODE 11. THE INTERIOR WAS ORIGINALLY TAN, BUT IS NOW BLACK. THIS IS A TOTALLY RUST FREE CAR. ​LOOK AT THE PICTURES, ALL PICTURES CAN BE ENLARGED FOR A CLOSE UP. ​THE CAR WAS ORIGINALLY BOUGHT IN THE UK BY A SERVICE MAN, WHO HAD IT ​SHIPPED HOME TO SOUTH CAROLINA. THE SECOND OWNER HAD IT THE LAST 30 YEARS UNTIL I BOUGHT I, THIS SPRING. HE SOLD IT FOR HEALTH REASONS. ​THE CAR HAS ALWAYS BEEN GARAGED. THE PREVIOUS OWNER DID SOME MODIFICATIONS: ​HE ADDED A LATER HEAD FOR BETTER AIR FLOW TO THE CARBS, HEADERS, ​A STAINLESS STEEL EXHAUST SYSTEM, MODIFIED THE SUSPENSION SYSTEM TO CLING TO THE ROAD. IT IS FIRM AT ALL FOUR CORNERS. THIS IS ONE AWESOME CAR ON CURVEY ROADS. ​I HAVE A RESTORATION SHOP IN GREER, SC. I DID NOT RESTORE IT, BUT HAVE DONE SOME WORK ON IT, TO REFRESH IT. ​A NEW DASHBOARD WAS INSTALLED, BUT THE WIRES WERE PUT BACK WRONG, SO IT WAS REWIRED. NOW EVERYTHING WORKS WITH THE EXCEPTION OF THE FLASHERS. ​THE CAR HAS BESIDES THE DASH, CRASH PADS AND NEW CARPET INSTALLED. ​THE CLUTCH WAS RECENTLY INSTALLED. ​I PUT NEW TIRES ON IT. ​I ALSO PUT A NEW PINION SEAL IN THE DIFFERENTIAL. NEW SEALS WERE INSTALLED ON THE TRANSMISSION SELECTOR SHAFTS. CLUTCH MASTER CYLINDER AND SLAVE CYLINDER WERE REBUILT. THE PREVIOUS OWNER ADDED THE OVERDRIVE TO THE CAR, I INSTALLED THE CORRECT FACTORY WIRE HARNESS FOR THE O/D, AS THE PREVIOUS OWNER MADE UP HIS OWN ​HARNESS WHICH DIDN'T LOOK RIGHT. THIS IS WITHOUT DOUBT THE BEST RUNNING TRIUMPH I HAVE EVER DRIVEN. I RECENTLY TOOK IT ON A 5 HOUR TRIP TO KENTUCKY AND BACK. ​THE CAR IDLES AT A SMOOTH 800 rpm's. OIL PRESSURE IS 60lbs running and 45lbs at IDLE. OK, THE BAD: THE PAINT IS DRIVER QUALITY WITH A NICE SHINE, BUT, THE CLEAR COAT IS CHIPPED GOING DOWN THE TRIM STRIP ON TOP OF THE FRONT FENDERS. ( SEE PICTURES ) ​TO DO THE CAR JUSTICE THE FRONT FENDERS AND HOOD SHOULD BE REPAINTED. ​THE 250 BADGE IS NOT ON THE HOOD. PREVIOUS OWNER SAID IT WASN'T THERE WHEN ​HE BOUGHT IT. THE CAR IS AVAILABLE FOR INSPECTION IN GREER, SOUTH CAROLINA. SOUTH CAROLINA TITLE IN HAND. A non-refundable deposit of ten percent (10%) is due within forty-eight (48) hours, two (2) days, of this auction closing and can only be paid to Seller by Cash (in person), Cashier's Check, WIRE TRANSFER, or some other form of certified transfer in US dollars. Full payment of the final price is due within seven (7) days of this auction closing and can only be paid by Cash (in person), Cashier's Check, Money Order or certified funds in US dollars.
