Description |
---|
With a 3rd kid on the way we have to say goodbye to our wonderful van. It's a well loved camping machine, great daily commuter and the perfect way to make great memories. Its not perfect but it's a VW so you should know what you are getting into and we've treated it well over the past few years. We are the 3rd owner (bought it from our neighbor!).
Good
---213,000 miles and it runs well.
---Shelving system installed in back storage area(can be taken out easily) for better access for clothes, etc.
---Lots of little spice racks, shelves, mirrors, hanging baskets, etc. to make camping easier!
---Comes Furnished! Pots, Plates, bowls, hose, electric cord, jumper cables, etc. Everything you need to start camping immediately.
--2 beds (one up top/one down below) that are comfortable and easy to set up. We sleep 4 people and 2 dogs in the van no problem:)
---Comes with front bra to protect from rocks, bugs, etc.
---Brand new windshield (no cracks!)
---New Serpentine belt (installed May 2016)
--Fresh Oil Change (June 7 2016)
--New washer nozzles and windshield wipers (June 7, 2016)
--Complete inspection at Wilder VW in Port Angeles, WA (June 7 2016)
Bad
--The fridge works wonderfully on electric or battery but is tricky on propane-if you can get it to light it works but I think it just needs to be cleaned out.
--The check engine light likes to go on and off. We've had it checked numerous times and all mechanics have told us it doesn't affect performance.
--One of the back seat belts buckles is broken. We tried to get it fixed at the shop but they don't make that seat belt anymore. Seems like a good fix from a junk yard or just install a completely brand new one.
--The cruise control is hit or miss. Tried to get that fixed too but that part doesn't seem to exist anymore. What you can do is find a fix on eBay and do it yourself!
Ugly
--Some discoloration spots on pop top (all treated)
--Crack in the roof (has been sealed, does not effect performance)
--Some Rust (along the front and by the doors, doesn't effect performance)
SPECIFICS
