You are bidding on my 1957 Porsche 356C replica. I purchased this vehicle 2 years ago but sadly have to sell to make room for other toys. The vehicle was sold to me with no stereo but the bracket is there if you want to install one. The car was built from a FiberFab kit in 1992 and was primarily an award winning show car. Over the years it has lost some of the luster but all it needs is some cosmetic work if you want a show piece. I had planned to fix the two small chips/dents on the right side above the wheel wells. paint the car and completely replace all of the emblems. The convertible top is there but essentially unusable due to rips and tears. The top does have a cover which conceals the top and dresses the appearance up but I suggest replacing that. I was planning to just replace the cover and drive it only with the top down. There are no side windows. Plenty of web sites will sell any of the emblems you may want. The engine fires right up and the vehicle drives very well. Since I bought the car I installed a new battery. changed the old generator out for a new alternator which is much nicer. I put on a new oil pump and had a crack in the exhaust fixed. I don't do the work myself. I use a local shop that went over engine for me and this was all that it needed. I bought two new side mirrors that may be installed which give the car the "outlaw" look. Low rise mirrors and covers. If you do install these they would need to be painted to match the car. Being a show car in the past. the rear wheels were flared out which made the car ride poorly in my opinion so they have been changed to a non-flared wheel. Under the hood is a false panel with road flares mounted next to the alarm housing. This was installed for show purposes by previous owner. The seats are in good condition and are 914 style bucket seats. The engine is a 1972 VW air cooled with a 4 speed manual transmission. No air conditioning. The wheels were custom but showed their age and instead of replacing the wheels ( to save $$). I sprayed them with Plasti-Dip coating which you can remove if desired. I would suggest using this product or replacing the wheels if you want a different look. As I said. this used to be a show car but that was years ago. The car can be driven without problem now and only needs some cosmetic work if desired. If you are looking for a steal. this is your car! I have it priced with a low reserve and if you look around. the speedster replicas are bringing nearly $30K if you dress them up. This car would be a great toy. project for investment. etc. Vehicle is sold as is. no warranty and no returns.
