Description

2009: The car was totally restored to the concourse level - a true #1 show car. The most expensive type of restoration a car can have. It was taken completely apart by hand. painted on a rotisserie. blocked. sanded. and polished to perfection. It was then reassembled by hand. using OEM/NOS parts. and all new fasteners. The end result was a work of art. and it won a Concourse Gold award at the prestigious Muscle Car and Corvette Nationals in Chicago on November 22. 2009. This fine example of a 1969 Plymouth GTX is a true numbers matching (original) drivetrain. as is shown in the pictures. The car comes with the original build sheet. which has been de-coded by MOPAR guru Galen Govier. It came from the factory with manual steering. manual brakes. 4speed. and Track Pak - she was built for speed! 2010: I bought the car on October 23. 2010 - 11 months after the restoration was finished. The paint was nice and flat. and the engine compartment. trunk. and underside were all finely detailed. as you can see in the pictures. All of the chrome had been redone. and the stainless trim was polished to perfection. The motor had been totally rebuilt in 2009. and had approximately 750 miles on it. The interior was a different story. It was done nicely. but in my opinion was the weak spot on the car. That's because some of the interior pieces. such as the center console were not available at the time of restoration. 2011: I had Ken Mosier. and his crew at The Finer Details strip the interior. and restore it to like new condition. It was treated to new foam and seat covers from Legendary Interiors. dash and arm rests re-covered by Just Dashes. new carpet. headliner. door cards. nbsp;window cranks. package tray. and a new center console. A new windshield and back window were also installed. And while it was there. I had Ken's paint and body experts re-gap the the hood. fenders. trunk lid and doors to perfection. Folks. this is one of the very best '69 GTX's you will find. There's not a chip. scratch. or ding in the finish. This is a quality piece of art that must be seen. AND heard to be appreciated. The car is ready to show. and would make a great addition to anyone's Muscle Car collection. Please. no soliciting from third parties who want to "market" my car. This one can stand on its own. I used hagerty. com (as in Hagerty Collector Car Insurance) to view the "value change over time" report. and the "Vehicle Value Details" report - I have included the past year's value details below. I trust Hagerty over NADA. because they insure these cars and know their values. Also. NADA and other car valuation sites like it. will not put a value on a "concours" car. As far a I can tell it is an over stamp that was probably done at the plant. The dates are 1 month apart - within the 6 week timeline considered as #s matching.
