1976 Porsche 911 S Targa 2-Door 2.7L

Up for auction is this unique wide body 1976 911 convertible that began life as a yellow Targa. This car was converted to a convertible using all 993 power convertible top parts in the late 90's. All documentation on this transformation is included with the car. At the same time the car was widened with all steel front fenders and rear quarters, he bumpers were also replaced with fiberglass 964 bumpers and painted black. The top does operate but is slow and needs help. The top is in good condition but the rear window is starting to separate. The paint and body work is about a 6 out of 10, ot a bad looking car from 20 ft but not the best work when close up on the car. The interior is in surprisingly good shape showing that the car has spent its life in doors. The chassis appears to be 100% rust free and solid! The car has a 2.7 that runs very well but is wet. The trans and clutch feel good and shifts smoothly. The brakes are good and the car is a blast to drive. There is a pretty bad vibration in the steering wheel which we believe to be a bent wheel. Power windows and all gauges except for the fuel gauge appear to be operational. New parts include fuel tank, ump, arm up regulator, njectors and battery. This is a great opportunity to get into an air cooled 911 for reasonable money and the car has lots of potential from there. We also have a pretty extensive library of the rest of the history on the car through out it's life. This car is being sold AS IS!
